Personally, she's still number 1 for me. I love tharn and she's definitely their best choice. I also love the dodge mechanic.
Losing Phantasm and LOTF getting his nerf have certainly hurt her game a little. However I think with the addition of the Well of Orboros, she has some considerable game left to give.
Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but the Well can allocate each individial kill with it's gun that generates a corpse, to an individual model?
So if I shoot my own unit of shamblers and kill them all, I can generate 9 corpses individually for my tharn on their feat turn? Essentially filling up 4 and a half or half filling 9?

That is my understanding of how the well works. Since there is no range restriction on the corpse distribution it really adds a ton of flexibility. Plus an extra 2 inches on the feat is never a bad thing.
I have Iona and Baldur1 as my current Tharn casters and haven't quite settled on the one I prefer. I think I am leaning towards Iona though. What kind of list have you been running with her? My big question is if I should run a raptor with her or a stalker / feral.

That well is like a feat when it can put corpses on ravagers.
The below is what I've been running. Not 100% convinced about the double heavy build. Looks good on paper but the stalker is mat 6... Storm raptor can kill a lot throughout the course of a game and sits behind a load of ravagers with dodge. Iona IMO wants to camp 4 anyway.
Umming and arring about whether or not I should find space for a haruspex on the bloodweavers... But loosing Bridgid and Caul hurts a little.
On the other hand I could loose both and run blood trackers which are great with her.
Iona the Unseen - WB: +28 - Storm Raptor - PC: 34 (Battlegroup Points Used: 28)
Well of Orboros - PC: 10
Tharn Wolf Rider Champion - PC: 0 Tharn Wolf Rider Champion - PC: 0 Bog Trog Mist Speaker - PC: 4
Tharn Ravagers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 15 - Tharn Ravager Chieftain - PC: 0 Tharn Ravagers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 15 - Tharn Ravager Chieftain - PC: 5 Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron - Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron: 5 Tharn Bloodweavers - Leader & 5 Grunts: 8 Brighid & Caul - Brighid & Caul: 7

Not me, I never got in on Iona in the first place. I figure everyone and their mother knows about her and has a semblance of a game plan for her. Meanwhile I've come across more than a couple people who haven't seen baldur1, and just get blown out by him. I've also been running baldur1 pretty heavily since the beginning of mk3, for similar reasons. When everyone was scared if wurmwood baldur1 did a similar thing but laughed at a lot of anti wurm tech. Plus those bloodtrackers with him are truly gross, immune to blast and stealth while having a pretty far threat range... oh man. And then there is the silly assassination he has, where if the enemy caster gets sitting 14 and in low on camp it often dies...
Baldur1 is love, baldur1 is life.

check the WTC list pairings. Everybody knows or will know about Baldur1 soon enough.
You are not a snowflake for using him.

Currently, Iona is in my pairing with Wurmwood for the Michigan Cup team event at the Michigan GT. Despite the errata, I'm not sure Iona's game plan or builds have really changed all that much. She still does what she does, just slightly worse than before.

I don't care if people know about him and use him, and I'm not going to drop him if he suddenly becomes the top dog. I just really like him, and when tharn became the meta boogeyman with Iona at the front, I didn't see a need to switch from Baldur to her, especially if j am able to catch people unaware.

I think in certain matchups (not generally the hard ones) she's exactly the same as she was. Losing phantasm now means my off list needs to deal with guns. We have Krueger 2 for that bones or otherwise.
One of my favourite parts about Iona is the dodge mechanic. With tough, no knockdown, rapid healing and dodge ravagers are amazing. I remember I used to take Strider Rangers when I was playing legion just because of their DEF 15 and repo, so having something that interacts with that IMO is amazing. One of my favourite units in the game at the moment.

I assume it's all the strangleholds Not played Wurmwood myself. Been focusing on Krueger 2 for my bones list. I assume wurmwood is pretty good with tharn too.

A feat that blocks Los, and if anything can see your dudes they get +2def... I actually think the tharn list is way better than the bones list, but since there are so many good choices, he kind of gets relegated to bones for some list diversity.

I think it's in part due to the need for heavy beasts instead of storm raptors. Wurm wood is one of the few casters that doesn't want a storm raptor, but also wants his living beasts to activate before him on feat turn.

I don't know how to get around his instant forest and the Tharn theme list as Grymkin. I know how to do it as Khador (take two collosals and laugh like a maniac) but I am lost with Grymkin. I am open to suggestions doe.
