The Grolar is truly a Wonderful HoF target...
Instead of a destroyer in the line up, maybe you could sub in a Devastator. Devastators love Assail and with the upkeep on it can start outside of Vlads control without a powerup focus and still Charge, Trample or Slam for free (and don’t forget the +2” move and +2” slam). And you can do two of those things without opening up. Seems really good.
Winner winner chicken dinner?
Hmmm. Bonus thought. You can bulldoze first, then slam. So at a minimum you can clear something 5”+ out of a zone. Also, doomreavers love knocked down models... Gotta try this tech.
I think you WANT destroyer. Consider Spread the net. For a moment will ignore the size of the flag. Top of 1 you can RUn the destroyer forward. You are now in your square zone (yeah!). But you also threaten with a walk and a shot killing many/most solos that might be trying to camp the flag. SOME of the doomies can be screening you/keeping that zone in scoring chances. Likewise, Anarchy has some similar dynamics. THat is something the devestator can't do (easily)
Anyway, if you use a 28 jack point build (e.g. drop a Mad Dog and Escort for Fenris and an extra jack point), you could do one Destroyer and one Devastator, which doesn’t suck.
OK, so I’m on vacation right now (a week off renting a house on Nantucket...also does not suck), and while biking across the island today was noodling on Vlad 2 builds.
Specifically, I got to thinking, “can you bake your cake and eat it too” with 2 jacks and a hoarde of doomreavers...with one of the jacks being a colossal. And, well...yes you can and I don’t think the list sucks.

Certainly this works with four units of doomreavers, and perhaps you can dump the Outriders for a 5th unit since Connie really wants Hand of Fate. Now, I think (but don’t actually know for sure) that since HoF is an upkeep, the 4” pie plates of nope would be subject to HoF bonuses on your opponents’ turn. In terms of playing for scenario, dropping those pie plates smack dab on top of your solos camping flags just seems like a champion idea.
