Well, buying into the claim of the only other person around here that has Monpoc models (that they're finally painted and so he wants to get some games in), I've invested in some more models. Specifically, Ubercorp International (chosen because they are Destroyers, so work with my Martians, and because they have robo-dinos, fulfilling my desire to play Terrasaurs).
Now, on the one hand, I really like the power-rangers vibe I get from the models, especially with the predominantly white paint job. On the other hand, paint predominantly white SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. Thus, I'm looking for any suggestions of alternate paint schemes that may capture a similar vibe.
At the moment, I'm leaning to a light grey, with red as the secondary color. But I'm not sold on this yet.

It sounds like you're planning on using primarily regular colours rather than metallics?

It sounds like you're planning on using primarily regular colours rather than metallics? Similar to official scheme as far as I can tell, with metallics for details (teeth, claws, other pointy bits) but the bulk being non-metallic.

Has PP released photos of painted UCI models, or are you referring to MK 1?
Personally my first instinct is to go all metallic, Terminator/Mechagodzilla style, at least for Cyber Khan. Coloured metallics are also an option; perhaps a dark green?
You said you like the Power Ranger aesthetic? Why not paint the units in Power Ranger colours then? The dino-shaped units as well, like zords? It would be real colourful at any rate.

If you want white metallics: I have been playing around with the P3 Galvanized Steel “semi-metallic” paint lately. Mix it with some white and some Cold Steel and it turns out pretty neat.

I'm tempted by going full power-rangers, but not sure. michael, well that sounds interesting. I'll need to play around with it a bit.

I saw a Dragonzord version of Cyber Khan.
It was amusing, but the technical quality of the paint job was lacking. I wouldn’t mind seeing a top-notch version of it executed.
