Who's MacGruber? I'm getting sick of all the random nicknames... Ouch. I was pretty pretty fond of that one too. Sigh. Not even joking, I'm feeling kind of down now. Anyway, MacGruber=Andy (sorry, Andrei Malakov). Because: Wow. That is one hardcore obscure reference.

Pow 12 for a 1" place seems 50/50 on being good. Does not seem effective on most large bases. But i guess the occasional small/med base it could be nice.

Wow. That is one hardcore obscure reference. Well, I don't really think it is, but even if so, is that a bad thing? Seriously asking: are you saying that in a negative way or is it just a casual observation?

Seriously asking: are you saying that in a negative way or is it just a casual observation? Well, I had never heard of that movie before. It wasn't even released here in France. I guess that's a US-specific reference. And even if I knew the movie, that reference is from a very specific scene echoing his Sucker! ability. IMO that's not a very good nickname if people don't understand what you're talking about.

FYI I don't live in America. And sure, it's probably obscure, but I don't think that's a bad thing as it gave me the opportunity to bring a movie that I think is funny to the attention of people who might not have heard of it. Also it just gave me the opportunity to have a bit of a conversation with people on these forums - something that isn't as easy for me anymore now that the local meta is stone-cold dead so it's hard for me to really keep up with the game. I mean, I dropped an obscure reference (on a forum that, let's be honest, isn't exactly dedicated to a mainstream topic), you didn't understand it (and probably a bunch of other forum members didn't either), I clarified, you (and probably a bunch of others) got to watch something funny (in my opinion anyway) that you hadn't seen before. Is that a bad thing? Instead of getting all caught up on how obscure something is, how about a touch of positivity; maybe a comment like "OK, that was pretty funny, I understand the name now" or even a "I might look that movie up" or something? Or even a "Good one, but I prefer to call him [insert funny nickname here]"? Anything? Let's have a friendly conversation here, that's what these forums are for right?

That's an interesting point; how obscure is too obscure? Like, if you said 'I like running Brian Blessed' I'd probably get you meant Harkevich because of the physical similarity. Or if you say 'The Impaler' I'm going to go for Vlad because of the common cultural reference.
So if I say I like playing Baba Yaga, I'd expect people to get it. But if I called three jacks Vinnie, Dolph, and Slevin would you be able to guess which ones I meant?

Hmm, Dolph would be Ivan Drago, so Drago... Vinnie I guess is Vinnie Jones? I feel like he's probably Beast 09? No reason why, it just seems to fit? Slevin is probably a reference to "Lucky Number Slevin", but I can't think which jack that would be a reference to. Unless it's Beast 09 because it's a number?
Actually this is fun...

First one's correct, and you've got the right person for Vinnie...

Just for the record, Macgruber is hilarious and if u missed it, its well worth catching on digital. Its not buried in reference humour so Id imagine it travels across the pond.

Is Vinnie Torch? Vinnie has a buzzcut, Torch has a buzzsaw... or is it Behemoth because Vinnie was a footballer and Behemoth lobs shots at people? Oh, wait, Vinnie was in a movie called Mean Machine! And Beast 09 is a mean machine! But I think he played a footballer in that one, so now we're back to Behemoth... damn, I need to hit IMDB!

Here's a clue: Vinnie is not a character jack

Ok, so a search on IMDB shows that Vinnie once played a character called "Ivan", another time he played a character called "Mr Black", and in another he was called "Gunnar": coupled with the whole "lobbing shots" thing, it all adds up! He's Black Ivan!
...OK, and as IMDB reminded me he also played Cain Marko, so he is clearly a Juggernaut.
BTW I almost named one of my Juggernauts "Cain Marko" so clearly great minds think alike! On a related note I do have a multijack that I named Casey Jones, because he wears a hockey mask and uses a lot of weapons.
Any hints for "Slevin"? Is it something to do with Bruce Willis?

Good work on the Jugger, spot on.
Bruce Willis is in the film, but Slevin is more to do with Josh Hartnett's character

I mean the topic is about being in love, so if they are in love with obscure references it's not off topic.
