i just wanted to throw this out there. It is exciting to hear the various theme reveals and see PP’s staff talking with all the big social media outlets. The company is engaging with us, players are starting to talk about new possibilities. All in all, it is good to see this big push and I, for one, am looking forward to Oblivion.

Yeah, also excited. It’s a bit of a bummer to be in a holding pattern: not ready to play with new stuff but enough out to not want the “old rules”
Even so, it is fun to slowly get the reveals. And really looking forward to the fluff book and narrative campaign!

I am so pumped!
I love how they had the infernalists hidden in our faces the entire time (mine at least, i did not see it at all) I love the new theme benefit method (25, 50, 75 increments) The teasing is annoyingly good I am going to do my first narrative campaign and am excited I've been lore starved for a while, so the oblivion book will be sweet
I have high hopes for the rebalance too.

I think PP is doing a great job building the hype for this. I'd love to try out the Oblivion Campaign and will definitely be buying it when it comes out.

I'll pick up the Oblivion kit when it comes out, unfortunately, there is no one interested in the game locally anymore. I'm hoping though that GenCon will yield some casual games.

So I am 50/50 about this. the hype is great and I want to get my hands on the kit too. On the other hand I hate when they trickle out spoilers like this. It almost makes me not want to play till the stuff is released and the rules are active. I know in my meta it has had some people not want to come out till after it drops.

We're soooo used to the internet these days. While some aspects could be immediately revealed (i.e. the Themes revamped with the Requisition system, especially to beta on War Room 2), other parts should not, and other parts cannot. It doesn't help when a lot of tabletop and book systems really cannot be pushed before a certain point because of shear production and shipping challenges are in the middle.
Could you imagine being back before the internet when the only news you got on specialty system was either their own news letter or magazine that comes out only once a month? Good land we have lost a lot of patience these days, especially when it comes to news and spoilers.

Yup, despite any specifics I may or may not like the effort for the release is good to watch. The release of news using community media is great. The stream of news if good.
Very good.

It's certainly a glass half full and/or half empty. Lots of 'new' to digest for ALL. And more to come. Quite a bit of salt, and interest too. Like the WM/H community, of non-vocal players, are holding their breath prior to this leap...

I have all but resigned from playing until all these changes caught my ear (I still check these forums regularly). I asked around a little locally. The main torch bearer has already pledged to fully invest in Oblivion. My FLGS owner is not swayed - he does not share the optimistic/positive viewpoint of how much PP's been interacting with the community.
Personally, I like all the changes that have been spoiled but I don't know if I've seen as much interaction with PP as others (lacking an official forum, press-gangers, etc.). I guess I'm in the camp of 'holding our collective breath'

Today is the day, boys. Today is the day everything changes to whole new world...
Which we can then complain about but not actually play. PROGRESS!

Why? They issued an errata. Who cares if its wrong on paper?

I think you mean they will issue an errata, unless issued now means "not available on their site".
But you're right, who cares if a product they've paid real money for looks rushed and sloppy? It'll have an errata soon, and then you'll have a great joke to show your friends, or maybe prop up a table with a short leg.
