Meh, just a bigger Doom Reaver. Also, as written, Blood Bath means you take Free Strikes if you wander out of melee after a hit. This says 'advance' instead of Stumbling Drunk's 'pushed'. If that’s how it works it’s even less impressive than I thought... Currently that is how it works, but I imagine it will either be changed or he could have parry since we only see his abilities here and not his stats.

What else could he be? With a doomreaver fell axe we know he can’t be a caster. How do we know that? Because Fell nouns mute casters who wield them and make them normal people again, like most Orgoth artifacts do.

Yeah I'm really hoping he has parry otherwise bloodbath is going to be a good way to just get him kill by free strikes...

A noticeably worse version of Overtake? Sign me up! I definitely enjoy playing models with wildly unpredictable performance!
....HE SAID SARCASTICALLY.

Overtake is when the model kills something. Blood bath is when butcher himself is hit. So butcher gets hit, stumbles d3 inches, makes an attack against any enemy in his melee range. He gets hit again, makes a tough check, stumbles d3 and makes an attack against any enemy. Etc.. It's more like a random retaliatory strike with possibility of multiple triggers a turn rather than overtake. If he keeps making tough checks he can pump out a ton of revenge. It's one of those abilities where one guy will have an amazing story of butcher killing a colossal while passing four tough checks. Then another guy with a story of butcher randomly wandering off on his own. I think it might be too random for the game, but then PP is the company that made a battle engine that could have between 3 and 9 shots.

I think he meant Beat Back on the non-main weapon.

I haven’t seen the actual rules text firsthand, just the summary put up earlier. I translated “if hit” to mean “If this model hits with an attack”, not the other way around. Reading it the other way makes him mildly better.

For those worried about free strikes, carapace applies to free strikes. If he is anything like his current entry, he could be 15/22 vs free strikes.

Would be sad if we didn't have 2 casters that could provide Parry, another caster that could provide Super tough, ANOTHER who can make it -2 to hit butcher 4 or two other that can buff his armor +2 or even +3. And there is even ANOTHER darkhorse who, should you hit Butcher and roll "poorly" (aka don't kill him or he toughs) means that damage over would be DOUBLED.
You guys are just not understanding how GOOD our casters make this guy once (if?) he gets into their lines.

Er... Sand... Sorscha2’s feat is “turn”, so unless they’re countercharging you during your feat turn or something...

Carapace is definitely getting changed to not provide armor to free strikes. Also, assuming armor values is not wise. We really don't know what Butcher4's Def and Armor will be. Assuming that he keeps the 14/18 statline is probably incorrect.

I dont think a guy with a massive beer belly hanging out of his way-to-tiny-not-warcaster-armour is going to have a high arm stat. But that's just me.
