I really wish they wouldn't remove the apparition rule. It was one of the coolest theme effects in the game.
Bit of a mishmash of a theme, but it does look like it's fun. And it's cool kallus got his own theme now :')

Kallus' feat doesn't work on minions. The change just lets normal incubi pop out.

Well yeh but suddenly minions, that have plenty of good options, have become attractive for him simply because they don't disrupt his game anymore. And the incubi that pop out of minions do themselves benefit from the defbuff.
I'm sure there's fun to be had there.

I don't know why I didn't expect to see some salt...
So. My first priority is probably not even on anyone's radar - My out of theme Kryssa list now completely fits in the New Ravens theme. I am stupidly happy about that.
Now; onto the normal people stuff.
Strider scouts are getting CRA back! Legionnaires are getting cheaper woo~ (I don't think 8/13 is enough. Demote Farilor to non-character, scrub WM + cleave, 4 point FA:U)
The tried and true Thagrosh 1 CotD list can now be run by just about anyone. Kallus 1 and 2 could pull off some funny stuff.
CotD and Ravens also now allows a Blightbringer. So that Chris Orr list for Kallus 1 fits.
I think this gives a wide open world for Fyanna 2. I've got two lists to test out. a Flying circus with AA + Grots in Ravens and a Blightbringer based army in CotD.
The Twins now have such a good set of tools in CotD. They can finally take the infantry they want with the Beasts they need.
Rhyas Can finally take Proteus in theme with Thrones.
The options for the Vayls is information overload. I've not yet begun untangling that Gordian knot.
The only casters I don't see it directly helping is Thagrosh 2 and Abby 1/2. The Oracle change doesn't help beasts. Which is straight up disappointing. But I had low hopes for everything else already. 2 out of 3 theme changes are extremely fun prospects.
I want to make Lylyth 3 work in CotD. But holy fudge nothing fits. It's still such a pain to have to hammer together. Does anyone have some good amount of table time with her? I don't want it to be a ravagore heavy lists like the old L2. I want to use an AA. But Typhon in theme would be soo good. I can't spend 55 points on 2 beasts an not even have a bolt thrower >.<

It really feels like you should just run legion units. I'm not really salty, just minions aren't very good so that's a bit irrelevant to me, despite owning minions. The new children and ravens themes really help legion overall. A lot of our stuff may not be terribly competitive but at least we can field it now. Edit: I have a lot of table time with Lylyth3. I've been running her with full warbeasts in the past. I think using children is good because she loves typhon and ice witches, but I don't know if running units is a good call. I may just cheer about a free Craelix and leave it at that. Unless swordsmen or nephilim are a bit better I don't know if I'd change the list much. It was L3, 2x Carnivean, angelius, seraph, neraph, bolter, support.

Kallus 1 minion support - I'm sure he doesn't mean to spam minions only. But units like Farrow Valkyries can add some much needed shield guards. Croak raiders are still pretty solid. Long chops is a hell of a gun. And now they do not detract from getting free points. So It opens the door for a few quality of life kits we did not normally buy into. Gatorman bokor can do some funny corpse recycling. Especially with the Spawning vessel. Legion trooper dies > Bokor gets corpse token > Kallus feat procs and places an incubi > Incubi dies > bokor gets a corpses token Bokor spawns shambler > Shambler dies > Spawning vessel gets the corpses > Point paid Incubi pops out from shambler (just a general thing in the new Oracles and Kallus should never be in Oracles.) It's funny and probably the most annoying way to force your opponent to burn clock. But clearly not optimal. Per L3 - why Angelius? I assume the animus on L3's base is good fun. But the gun is meh and the AP attack fall short of desired standards.

The Angelius is a generalist and I like that for feat and melee damage. I also like armour piercing against the armour skew meta and on the clock- a single big hit is really nice on time. Besides that, the list adds to exactly 90 points.

I can almost fit my old eThags list into the new oracles theme. In all honesty the old apparition ability (which I adore) was a hassle with him because I just didn't need legion units with him, so I justified putting the pot in (flanking the briggands). This incubi nonsense does with well with the list though, so I will definitely try the alteration below.
20 typhon 18 carnivean 14 seraph 11 nephilim boltthrower
16 throne of everblight
15 farrow briggands 4 farrow briggand UA
0 incubi 0 2x forsaken 2 2x spellmartyr

Fyanna2 Typhon time! Edit: Maybe something like this? Freebies would be the warlord, forsaken, and abbot/champion. conflictchamber.com/?ca201AgNg_aReKbbbbbbfUb9bFbra_b0Legion Army - 90 / 100 points !!! This army must contain at least 123 total points. [Fyanna 2] Fyanna, Torment of Everblight [+28] - Azrael [21] - Typhon [20] - Zuriel [18] Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1] Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1] Blighted Nyss Shepherd [1] Blighted Nyss Warlord [5] The Forsaken [4] Wrong Eye [17] Blackfrost Shard [9] Blighted Nyss Swordsmen (max) [15] - Blighted Nyss Swordsman Abbot & Champion [6]

Id say cut azrael. Fyanna doesnt do terribly much for him, I think replacing him with two neraphs would be better. Maybe change bfs to ice witches and cut a shepperd for the three extra points. you already have a damage fix, and neraphs love the puppet master for their fist attack. Also think about spell martyrs for gallows, nice thing for your opponent to constantly worry about xD.

I'm looking at Lylyth1 for CotD. She loves both Typhon and Azrael.

Hopefully Azrael gets a heavy point reduction. They aren't looking at changing the rules of models, so as he is he should probably be about 17.
I'm finding that which character beasts I want is more relevant than other stuff in building the themes.

CotD theme give us Unyielding Bloodseer + Canivean + pThagrosh(or any other arm buff) So we have Bloodseers with Arm 24 against melee?

They'd be incredibly good at jamming infantry or holding zones, but I think heavies would ignore them.

Legion trooper dies > Bokor gets corpse token > Kallus feat procs and places an incubi > Incubi dies > bokor gets a corpses token Kallus' feat procs on Disabled, the model never reaches the Destroyed state. As far as I know, nobody gets corpse tokens from that.
