Does the destroyer fit a 12 point jack spot? Seeing as we are now missing that point cost. Less damage output than both a juggernaut and a marauder. Or does a pow 17 with a range 14 pow 14 gun become too good at 12 points?

That could be interesting. The Destroyer has never been cheaper than the Juggernaut. Is it too good? Eh...I don’t know.

Seriously a range 14 pow 14 gun on a juggernaut chassis is pretty good. Now about the decimator tho... It's most definitively not worth 15 points.

Ok folks, 12 point destroyers are not ‘a spoiler’.
Stay frosty.

Putting a Gun on a MAT7/RAT4 chassis is a downgrade.
12 points is totally justifiable.

Putting a Gun on a MAT7/RAT4 chassis is a downgrade. 12 points is totally justifiable. I don't think it is a downgrade. It's a RAT4 chassis that has access to boosting or the marshal bonus, both of which enhance accuracy. It works as a shooting chassis than can then mix things up in melee reasonably well. It's not a dedicated heavy killer, but it's great spot removal/early damage, and the axe is enough to be a meaningful threat to lots of things in the late game. You're paying for some flexibility, which not everyone likes.
PP values ranged attacks highly, so the Destroyer going down to 12 points seems unrealistic. The Destroyer is pretty good at 14 points. I don't alway take one, but there are lists where I do consider them seriously. At 12 points I probably would be reaching for them over Juggernauts much of the time (especially as we have so many ways to enhance melee damage).

Actually, as a faction, we don’t have all that many straight damage buffs, as compared to other factions with either straight damage buffs and/or active/passive debuffs.
Don’t have my stats handy right now, but as I recall, Cygnar actually beat us handily on the number of casters with pure damage buffs, last I checked...

A slight update was revealed; Jack Marshals will have a new option on top of the existing 4: Shake! You can stand up, you cease to be stationary, and any shakable effects like Blind and Shadow Bind expire. And yes, by the wording you do shake all of them at once.
Not too shabby at all!

Well that solves a big problem! Makes sense too; if a jack marshal can get a jack to do other stuff that normally requires focus, why not shaking?

Something was pointed out on the FB feed that I hadn't noticed before: at the end of the 'You can include mercenaries' section of the theme forces it now says 'Mercenary units in this army may include non-Ranking Officer attachments'. This is common across all the spoiled WM themes with access to a ranking officer so far.
That implies that the only theme force which will allow the Khador-ification of mercs will be Wolves of Winter, where Valachev is specifically allowed by being a Greylord.

Got a confirmation by Will Hungerford that theme that allow ranking officers will specify them in what’s allowed in the list. Since Valachev is a greylord I think this means our only theme with access to him will be Wolves, which is kinda sad since it’s probably our theme that needs the least merc support.

Yeah, seems like Murdoch will only be in gravediggers as well and the Attendant Priest is not in Guardians of the Temple either.
Weird design choice imo, given that the only themes were ranking officers were seen competitively on a regular basis were the CG infantry theme and Faithful Asses as far as i know. I dont get this sudden crusade against them unless they plan on making merc units so powerful they might cause problems in other factions.

Interesting. So for now it is possible that Ranking Officer is only limited to their specific theme force?

Ouch... legion of steel potentially loses faction steelhead rifleman? Hopefully the theme is overhauled then...

So we would also lose A+H in every theme except WoW?
