Ever since I found out the cool warcaster runes were actually a substitution for english words, I pretty much habitually translate them whenever I see them. (Personal favourite is Butcher2's in the MkII Khador book: "With all my hate with all my rage I will unmake the world")
But there's a few that I've never seen translated, mostly because of the obscurity of the runes. Two prominent examples are Ruin, which is reported to have Orgoth runes, and Ammok the Truthbearer, whose Malihedron presumably is in the original Morridane.
Does anyone know of any attempts at translation? Or even just a list of examples of these languages in the game so I can have a crack at it?

So far as I know, they stopped making substitution cyphers for the languages around the time of Hordes being developed. Seem to recall that from one of the Lock & Load Dev chats...

Yeah. I'm pretty sure they only have 5 of the rune languages actually translated, which would be Khador, Cygnar, Protectorate, Cryx, and Rhulic. The others are just gibberish.
They've even gotten lazy with some of the more recent artwork and haven't even bothered with the existing runic languages.

Aw, boo! Where's the fun in that?
It does make sense, though. I was looking at the malihedron and there seemed to be too few repeated symbols to constitute actual text.

It's possible the language works differently, with symbols representing syllables, full words or even concepts. Just because the languages in the Iron Kingdoms work like western European ones, doesn't mean the languages for other cultures on Caen use written languages in the same way.

True, but from a meta point of view I was expecting PP to have continued the trend of the 5 warmachine scripts, which are simple letter substitutions

I think the rune language breaking point came when Beast-09 was first mysteriously previewed. His book art was teased on the site, and the smart people combed through the html and noticed the file name was “mammoth9.jpg”. That revelation caused quite a stir on the old Khador forums! But there must have been some sort of legal reason for it, because months and months later, when the model finally released, he was named “Beast-09.” What does this have to do with runes and finally giving up? Look at Beast’s cowl. That’s right! His name is misspelled “MAMOTH”.

From a meta point of view I was expecting PP to have continued the trend of the 5 warmachine scripts, which are simple letter substitutions I'd have gone the other way - making the non-Iron Kingdoms runic languages work very differently is a way of showing that their arcane traditions are distinct from the magic-science of the IKs, and quite how 'other' some of the cultures are.

I actually have the fonts on my PC...
Maybe I should put them up for download again, considering they’ve been out of circulation since the forum nuke a couple years ago.
