Boo, I was hoping for some spoilers that I had missed. So far, there really hasn't been any side games that I've had any interest in from PP, so my Riot Quest expectations are low While I've been out of the scene for a while now, I have been hearing really good things about MonPoc, so that's reassuring. One of these days I'll get my life together and get back to pushing toy soldiers across a table top.

I have a sneaking suspicion that CID will go on a break, and it won't come back. I think as an aggregate CID has done far more damage to the game than it has good. I would rather have models that hit and are bat shit crazy that can be fixed later than the perceived damage that an ever-changing rule set with an unfinished game has brought. If CID goes away, I can likely use that as a leverage point to get some of my old players interested in playing again. I think this is some of the best news that could be given and hope against hope that it will stay gone. IRT someone above: I don't think PP is going to go back and hit more legacy models, besides some that are just really important to a new theme that is coming out. Just my take on it. This runs pretty counter to what was said in the dev talk (around the 7 minute mark): A "fairly significant" break to "let the meta normalize or stabilize, let there not be a constant rotation of new changes all the time, and then we'll jump right back into it" They'll be busy during the Lock and Load (late june) to GenCon time (mid august) with Riotquest releasing in that time, so I'd guess that means until early fall? Regarding Legacy Models, basically the same answer: "We'll get to them in time, it's time for a little break, it's time to let things normalize, let the meta settle a little bit, then we'll be jumping back into it" Oh I full on know that its contrary to what PP said, but i also think that if the benefits of putting this endless miasma of utter shit to rest become appearent, they'll stop it, and I'm truly hoping it does. PP is a business, theres no money in treating or fixing more legacy models to a CID cycle, especially if they're slowing it down, and the fact that Hungerford thinks most of them are where they should be kind of speaks poorly to the likeliness of them getting made playable. That's just my personal take on it. Like i said, it's just my hunch, but I'm willing to bet if the game is looked at more favorably on the next several months because CID doesnt exist and the sales of models increases, they might not go back to the way things were. I am praying not. This may be the ticket to get some of my old Hats picking up the game again.

Maybe its the second coming, I don't know, but every single one of their other games I've purchased have been poor other than WMH, so I'm not sure I'm up for taking more 100.00 bets on what's good. I agree with you.

So, no new rules or models then? Or we back to Una2 and Karchev dogs quality of rule writing?
Also this was foreshadowed hard when that one guy left.

Infernals and the Oblivion stuff mean there's a pretty continuous release schedule until the end of the year at least. And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there was an errata coming out with the Oblivion release, but I can't actually find confirmation of that

End of the year... Man, Tharn gonna rule for a looong time - unless you are correct about an errata.

End of the year... Man, Tharn gonna rule for a looong time - unless you are correct about an errata. It's a grim possibility, but just as many dominant lists have been shut down by meta changes rather than nerfs. Primal Terrors, for example, and Cryx in general. And things like Ghost Fleet, Nemo3, and Denny1 were all nerfed without actually going through CID. They simply announced the change.

Any Circle nerf (if it ever comes) will be after the summer convention season. I wouldn't expect anything before Sept/Oct.

Nemo 3 was all in all a minor change, that the community at large had been calling for for a long time.

I heard 3 scenarios are changing... Out of 6 that is a lot.

If only three out of six are changing, then it'll be just another shuffled arrangement of circles and rectangles... hardly going to have a huge impact, except to prompt arguments over which ones are good or bad.
