Oh, look my thread is now another doom train dumpster fire. Can a moderator at least lock/delete it? The mods have abandoned us!

I'm an avid collector of L5R (pm me if you are looking for cards) and played from emerald until it died. Faction loyalty allowed a game that existed on faction loyalty and cool alone. Balanced metas were boring metas. It survived on a rotating broken mechanic. Why do you say it waskilled by faction loyalty? Played from Gold til it died Test of Enlightenment was busted all to shit because a group of faction loyalists flooded the testing with shit data regarding their pet clan. Faction loyalty decimated tons of playgroups when the largest scorpion forum accused AEG of literally cooking the data to deny them a win in the race for the throne and ragequit the game over it. Faction loyalty prevented the effective use of temporary and minor factions. Ratlings, naga, toturis army, all temporary factions, all ending in a playerbase drop when they phased out of the game.
I don't know anything about L5R, but those examples sound like the blame should be placed on the devs. Any game is going to have faction fans that are more vocal than others. It's the dev's job to sift through the noise and adjust their game accordingly. Hopefully to the benefit of the game.

I prefer these days where no self-important dick comes along and decides "you guys have all talked enough" and locks the thread. May the mods remain forever uninterested in this site they created.

Oh, look my thread is now another doom train dumpster fire. Can a moderator at least lock/delete it? Well you should not be surprised, this is the lormahordes forum. Where is has been nothing but doom and gloom for months on end, and most of the site's mobs have stopped coming here. Really it shows PP was not wrong for shutting down there warmachine and hordes forums, seeing how this one turned out.

Seems like pushing 2 different lists via theme forces isn't enough anymore, they need to push 2 separate factions for every player on top of that. They've given up on expanding player pool and just milk the remaining people dry.

Well the mods did tended to let the doom threads go on for a while longer (even added fuel to the fire themselves) because you know, they hate PP also

It hurts our game when peoole come in here, see drama, then turn and walk away.

I never heard about any of this apart from swing first hand the small faction thing. It is IMO L5R's fault for pushing faction loyalty and small factions at the same time. I like the idea of faction loyalty a lot more than pervasive bandwagoning. If minis games were as easy to bandwagon as ccgs no minis game would survive.
