I have decided to take up arms for the north.
Ragnor skysplitter has taken his most trusted beasts to protect the northern perimeter of the village. But the war has only just begun and he must seek out reinforcements before the full force of the enemy decends upon him.
Owning the battle box and having played a few tricky and fun games I am stuck as to the direction to take. I like the idea of storm of the North however is that the best way to get back into Trolls?
I seek help and advice....
Thank you

I think that Ragnor is very versatile. So you should give him a try. From there you could go in any direction, but if you prefer North. Then I would suggest Bears & Fire Eaters at first.

Storm of the North is our best all-rounder theme. Northkin stone+2xBears+2xFire-eaters is very good starting point that gives you 2 free solos. Add one more unit and you will get third solo, but then you have minimal battlegroup or take just those and get bigger battlegroup. After you have more impact to list building fire-eaters can sometimes be swapped away, but then they are never bad choice.
Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North
[Ragnor 1] Ragnor Skysplitter, the Runemaster [+30] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] - Earthborn Dire Troll [14] - Troll Bouncer [9] - Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Fell Caller Hero [0(5)] Valka Curseborn, Chieftain of the North [0(6)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Northkin Elder [3] Northkin Bear Handlers & Battle Bears [10] Northkin Bear Handlers & Battle Bears [10] Northkin Fire Eaters [7] Northkin Fire Eaters [7] Trollkin Champions (max) [16] - Skaldi Bonehammer [5] - Trollkin Sorcerer (1) [3]
That list can play nearly every trollblood warlock by just adjusting beasts.
Band of Heroes i good theme too, but way more restricted.

I think long riders are nifty with ragnor as they take his feat well. They can jam and be really tough to kill.
