I don't think the dark blue works very well on the model on the right, except on the bit of rubble on the base - it actually looks like a very nice translucent blue statue, it's much nicer than the sort of nondescript grey rubble under the one on the left. Other than that they look good. I especially like the deep jade green on the back scales of the model on the left - although the brown scales on the other one do still work. The red feathers look good and add a nice spot colour. don't think so too, but the dark blue bits are just the blue plastic showing through the areas where the primer didn't reach (and which I didn't actually see with the naked eye, cameras are merciless like that). I've actually added some additional contrast to the rubble on the green gator, but I might need to do another pass for it to pop properly. still looks like crap in pics, in any case. thanks, the red parts are basically the defining aspect of my minions miniatures at this point. they're all some shade of green skin, and have one accessory that's a mix of skorne and khador red.

god, do I hate mold lines. have I mentioned how much I hate them before? oh, how I hate them. I hate shifting mold line, I hate big mold lines, I hate mold lines that go over detail. they drive me to drink!
not too much progress since the last photo set. I've done some very minor changes to the new gator bokor, but that's about it. I still need to put some paint on his pitch black hand. that said, I've warmed up to his color scheme a lot more, and there's a good chance I'll end up using it if I ever gather the funds to buy a gator army. started chipping away at the mold lines on my second unit of Fennblades, but you know how it is. I still need to finish the cleanup on my Kriel warriors. it's painfully slow, every model takes me at least a full hour to clean up, and I always discover I've missed some critical mold line anyway. still, not cleaning them at all is completely unacceptable. I didn't clean them up on the bokors because of the casting material, but they're a real eyesore.

Nice skin tone on the gators! I like that. And as you, I hate mold lines. Espocialy those, that I don't see on the clumsy bare metal, but see them during painting

Here's another idea that'll never actually come to fruition but could still be pretty cool - cyber gatormen.

Have you considered Ubercorp? Technically Cyber Khan is on a 60mm square base, but you might be able to put him on a 50mm round base with a bit of overhang if you want to run him in Minions. I mean, he'd be a bit on the large size, but if the Extreme Juggernaut is a legal model then I don't see a problem.

Ptlus, there isn't really enough variety to cover the entire range, so I'd have to make some of my own models either way. As I've said, this is mostly wishful thinking, I doubt I'll ever actually make this army. I lack the skill to create the models themselves and I don't see myself being able to afford to hire someone to make the sculpts for me.

at this point I really don't remember whether I've already asked this, but does anyone know what PP use as the base color for the Trollkin skin in recent minis? It sure as hell isn't Trollblood Base, I use that color for my palest/Northkin models and it looks nothing like the skin tone on, say, the recent Boomies.
