I didn't see any changes from the card database from the brief look I had, though I may have missed something. I'll buy 2 because I'm a completionist, but I don't know how frequently they'll grace my lists. I do like the option to run a longer ranged gunline...

For me it's the ability to put an out of theme solo into your force. Unless I've totally misunderstood it of course.
The whitemane seems like a good call if you think about the counter charge options.

I think a lot of Devourer's Host list will want 1. It's a solid gun platform with easy access to boosting that ignores every defensive rule except line of sight. It also gives your caster a larger control area, which is great especially for some defensive feats such as Baldur 1, but it also helps Iona to keep herself safe on feat turn. It should be quite easy to kill 2-3 infantry models each turn between High Explosive AoE 4 and boosting and it can pass corpses anywhere you like.
The utility of the added solo should also not be underestimated, even if it has to sacrifice combat action the turn it comes into play.

I really want one with Baldur 1. Krueger 2 is looking at it interested too. Morvahna 2 and Kaya 3 are sort of interested. Oh, and Kromac 1!
An important thing to remember is that it does not count towards free cards in DH, so the inclusion might cost you a free solo, making the well actually cost 10 points which is a lot. My solution to this has been to not play the pot and the well together. That is far worse for corpse distribution though. The other option is to have both and then play with a minimal battle group, but that is not always super cool...

They misspelled corpse once, but the real thing that I am surprised by is you choose a FF model that can collect corpses, apparently anywhere on the table (!), to receive the corpses. That last part seems... over the top? Please tell me I am wrong.

That last part seems... over the top? Please tell me I am wrong. I'm not sure why that's a problem. The damn thing can't move, it having unlimited range on its corpse passing ability means it actually does something if the game goes long. Plus it's a big huge teleportation rock, I don't think bringing a solo in is less wild than no range corpse passing

Also the corpse passing isn't faction restricted. Feel free to run bone swarms on mire and pass to them or pass to the GM bokur to make shamblers. In a team game you can pass them to Alexis 1 or 2 for extra shenanigans. Try something like this for fun and proffit conflictchamber.com/?c8201b_-0MmXmNmJg45g5gndbNjX575c0OfljOmTCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Secret Masters !!! This army contains a pre-release entry. [Morvahna 1] Morvahna the Autumnblade [+28] - Brennos the Elderhorn [15] - Warpwolf Stalker [17] Blackclad Stoneshaper [0(3)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Underchief Mire [4] - Boneswarm [7] Boil Master & Spirit Cauldron [5] Druids of Orboros [12] - Druid of Orboros Overseer [4] Farrow Brigands (max) [15] - Farrow Brigand Warlord [4] Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers [10] Well of Orboros [10] Possibly drop the brigands for valkyries or the fulcrum but that's seasoning to taste. Use the well to call in a white mane for even more corpsy goodness. Just make sure to keep that stoneshaper near it to heal up all the damage from the boosting you'll do. Fun trick. Morv sack pawns to a blackclad or druid 3" away that can then sack pawn to a shambler another 3" away. This gives M1 a huge bubble of potential sack pawn targets that don't have to cluster near her and deals with Mr.Feast in a hilarious way.

You want more janky goodness!? So the well also isn't limited to collecting corpses from enemy models either. Try this one out: conflictchamber.com/?c8201b_-0qg14ImW5j5jeEjO4S5s4U4W4U4WmTCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Wild Hunt !!! This army contains a pre-release entry. [Tanith 1] Tanith the Feral Song [+31] - Gnarlhorn Satyr [12] - Loki [19] War Wolf [2] War Wolf [2] Death Wolves [9] Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers [10] Reeves of Orboros (max) [16] - Reeve of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Wolves of Orboros (max) [11] - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [0(4)] Wolves of Orboros (max) [11] - Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [4] Well of Orboros [10] Turn one cluster up 9 shamblers and blow them away with the well. You suddenly have a full corpse load on the death wolves and with the amount of bodies and the the gun on the well you should be able to fill the shamblers back up throughout the game so the unit isn't wasted. Also possible in Dev Host where you only need to kill 6 shamblers.

Remember when they made a whole bunch of abilities require Faction and/or require CMD range at the start of MK3 to try to limit potential abuse?

Not sold at all on Tharns wanting a well. My guess is it won't get targets to give corpses to, much less in the beggining of the game when you REALLY want them and already have the pot to give them to you.

Except you can get corpses by killing your own guys. It's not restricted to enemy models. Why bring the pot when you can bring shamblers and kill the shamblers giving those corpses to anyone on the board. It's also not limited so blow up a whole group of shamblers, spread the corpses exactly where they're needed, give any leftover back to the bokor. I can definitely see this thing being used a lot.

Then you are giving up a free card though, as you spend 10+10 points on non-tharn options. Id probably rather just kill a bloodtracker or two if i am going in with Caul and i have not had the opportunity to fill him up before...

You do give up a free card but you are also getting a free solo by taking the well. Doesn’t feel too bad to me since you have the flexibility in what that free solo is. That being said shamblers and a well may be a bit more on the jank side, but for grayle I am considering a well and the deathwolves alongside LoTF and B&C.
