Well regardless of merit the models quality is quite frankly amazing. After screwing up terribly on my previous two units of MOW, I was shocked to see the level of quality in the Forge Seer.
No mold lines, easily trimmable access, excellent metal and it all fits together smoother than Baby oil on a baby and with a level of Detail, I think unseen on a Khadoran....Anything ever.
And I purchased two of these fellows so this wasn't a fluke.
I'm a bit on the fence about these guys as Marshalls, but they still just might be the best Marshals in the game with what you get with them. Blessed is at least a great equalizer. Means that you don't have to worry about those Armor Spikes.

You and I will disagree about the quality of the sculpt. Yeah it's very finely detailed, but there's way too much of it to figure out how to paint it all.
The worst part is the model's size. The thing could easily take up a large base. As it is, they stand with one foot on the very inside lip of the base and one foot on top of the lip. This means in order to look decent and properly base him, he's got to be mounted on a raised base, which means the giant plastic plugs the bottom of his cape will show.
PP has created simultaneously a fantastic model and a god-awful mess.

I just meant the mold quality.
Its arguably too busy, but I do enjoy the bulk. Hes about as tall as a Berserker and looks like it doesn't wrestle bears as much as it wrestles Ironclads.

I think it looks wicked. I've got too much work to do at the moment but I'll pick it up some day.

There's images of the kit and a review at Lost Hemisphere if anyone wants a look. I like that the hat can be left off. Does anyone with the kit think it would be possible to remove the cape from the pauldrons without damaging them? I don't like the cape, so would prefer not to use it. As an alternative, would regular MoW pauldrons fit?

Yeah the dude is *huge.* Smaller than the new plastic heavies, but comparable to the old metal ones. The cape just hangs from the back of the pauldrons. Clipping it off and smoothing the cut area out ought to work just fine. Makes me wonder if the cape might fit 'chev...

Its gonna put more pressure on the arm joints though so be ready to pin.

Just got mine in the mail and I concur... great sculpt, virtually no mold lines. He is a big boy too, but I like the look...

I got one also. The quality on that thing is incredible. While I was doing assembly in prep for primer I realized that the quality was so high I wanted to jam it down some GW fan-boy's face. But then I would be down a Forge Seer...
And yes, mine's wearing his hat!

I am building mine as we speak. One is getting to keep his hat, the other is rocking that bald spot!

That hat is epic. Keeping it off is a crime against the Motherland.

I also got 2 for me - one is with, the other without hat . What I also did is that I built the model in 2 pieces, the body and arms on the one hand and the pauldrons with the cloak on the other hand. I think it is different to paint the model when it is completely assembled.
