Not sure Sorscha2 would be the best caster in the entire game if she had freezing grip back, but it would certainly help her, at the moment she is certainly lackluster, her feat changing from a pulse to an aura is also something that hurt her a lot, that and not having that many jack pts when compared to our other casters. Themes and the change to Iron Flesh also hit her hard. Desperate Pace and Shatterstorm scream "Winter Guard Kommand", but Iron Flesh is kinda wasted on Winter Guards...

Well, it does protect them from AOEs. I'm not sure how many armies rely on AOEs to deal with infantry anymore though.

Themes and the change to Iron Flesh also hit her hard. Desperate Pace and Shatterstorm scream "Winter Guard Kommand", but Iron Flesh is kinda wasted on Winter Guards... That is also true. I think she would need a tweak to her spell list. I'd like to see her get a spell or a field marshall that could make stuff stationnary, not necessarely freezing grip, but something. Something along the line of her old bond would be cool, maybe a spell or a field marshall that gives freezer to the jacks in her battlegroup, it would still not make her a terrific jack caster but it would allow interesting play for playing her with a couple of jacks on the table. An armor buff that could work on something else than warrior models would also be nice. Think armor buff that could go on the fun carriage. There is a reason why we barely see her, and when we do see her it's usually people trying to use shatterstorm to solve a match up, but I've never seen it actually work, the rest of her kit is always a letdown even in match ups where shatterstorm is good.

I like the idea of taking both Ruin and Beast 09 in the list, I'd be tempted to try a similar list, just switching the forge seer and an escort for Alexia2 and be good to go. I usually see Fenris and Alexia2 as an or choice, but I like the idea of both in the same list for this list. The only thing that worries me is only 3 unit of reavers, the min outriders could become a unit of reavers, but I think they are really worth their weight in gold with a caster that fixes their accuracy like Sorscha1.

The only thing that worries me is only 3 unit of reavers, the min outriders could become a unit of reavers, but I think they are really worth their weight in gold with a caster that fixes their accuracy like Sorscha1. Presumably the thinking is something like:
1 - the other list is the one meant to play into gunlines (lots of ARM and boxes + clouds), so the Wolves list shouldn't be taking too many ranged casualties on the way in;
2 - there's significant recursion potential with the 2 Ternions to keep the number of Reavers up;
3 - the Outriders add some flexibility in terms of how the list clears infantry - things that deny charges/melee attacks are not going to stop this list dead for a turn.

Yeah I've been liking the Outriders a lot so far so I think I still prefer to have a min of outriders over the extra reaver unit.

Game 1 of today's 10 man steamroller. S1 list kills zadessh top of and get to laugh at how no countercharges when you are frozen. So strong.
Game 2 - wrong drop. Picked my Vlad2 list into OW2 in Wolves (he had sorscha1 and I didn't want the mirror). But he left OW naked within 11 of Dragos. Hand of Fate, desperate pace and then some boosts on the second swing put her down.
Game 3 - again, wrong drop. He had Scary Gary and I am not sure of caster number 2. Picked Sorscha because I figured I could try to go kill Garry. He rolled the hard 14 he needed to land mortality and then the 12 he needed with Moros's shot to paralyze S1 and then shot her off the board.
2-1. Got third place.
So far very happy with the pairing. Just need to be smarter with the drops.
