Hitler undertook a huge campaign of privatisation. Direct state ownership was only really considered acceptable in instances where it drove the war effort. The Nazis removed collective bargaining, they banned trade unions, all strikes, and industrial action.
He also raised tariffs, spurned trade, sought to make the state self-sufficient, and massively expanded the military (with state assets intended to support that expansion). There was talk that companies should collaborate with the government whenever asked or face severe penalties, but a legitimately odd aspect of Nazi Germany is that those threats were rarely implemented and companies often turned down such requests without penalty.
And all of the above policies shifted and changed. Nazi Germany was never consistent. You can see why political language is thorny, right? Fascism doesn't fall into any neat boxes. In fact it's almost defined by its contradictory nature, because all fascist systems actually care about is power at the top. That means they can hold two directly conflicting positions at the same time in terms of how the economy should be run, because all they need to do is funnel power up as expediently as possible.

And again, one of the core tenets of socialism is the power of the working class. a "socialist" government that wrecks unions bans strikes and hands authority and power to the owner class isn't socialist, in the same way a "democratic" government that uses governmental power to ensure only one person can win an election isn't democratic.

I do want to hasten to add that I brought up raising tariffs and threatening companies directly as examples of how the Nazis intervened in the free market rather than being total free market libertarians (trying to prove a point about the contradictory nature of Fascism, at least in economics). I didn't actually realise that those specific actions could make it look like I was calling out Trump until just now.
Oops.

LOL I've really wanted to do a Dominar Rasheth with his cartoonish comb-over and anus lips, but then I'd be reminded of his existence far too often. I love how you just can't resist. Do we each get a free thinly-veiled jab at the other side in this thread or just you? Simply stating facts. Those are called opinions. Is your life really so boring that you have to bring this shit into your hobby? Can we get a lock on this thread to keep captain "facts are whatever I believe" from getting on his asinine soapbox? I come here to get away from reddit shitposting.

I come here to get away from reddit shitposting. And yet you post here, in this thread, the same as the people on reddit shitposting. This whole thread is a r/politics shitpost, so it isn't only you, but I come here to get away from agenda politics.

Anathema should have the holy halo back of his head. You should follow WYSIWYG!
※I am not the advocate of foul chaos, and he is the only way for survival, but I hate him(who is the sovereign of Imperium of Man) regardless and 'anathema' is well suited insult for him.

Perhaps should go into the off-topic folder?
Apart from that, we live in the world so politics afect us...
Brexit is sure to be felt in your gaming world no matter what your personal opinions on the matter are. Trade wars aren't likely to go anywhere so at some point gamres will feel it.
