It's actually been really positive for the most part. The newest one is below:
Captain Rahera, Terror of the Wailing Sea
Cut Blood Boon, Crit Decap, and Tactician.
Change feat to: Feat: Bloodletting Model in Rahera’s battlegroup currently in her control range and friendly living warrior models currently in her control range can immediately make one basic melee or ranged attack.
Add Blood Weaver: Blood Weaver - Immediately after resolving an attack in which it destroyed an enemy model with a melee attack, this model can cast a spell with COST 3 or less without spending focus.
Add Gang Fighter: Gang Fighter - When making a melee attack targeting an enemy model in the melee range of another friendly Faction warrior model, this model gains +2 to melee attack and melee damage rolls.
Add Leadership [living Privateer or Scharde]: Leadership [living Privateer or Scharde] - While in this model’s command range, friendly living Privateer or Scharde models gain Sprint.
Blockader
Cost 34. Firebreathers POW 14.
Scallywag
Change Bond [Shae] to: Bond [Shae] - If this model begins the game in Shae’s battlegroup, it is bonded to him. This model is not considered to be bonded while under your opponent's control. While this model is bonded to Shae and in his control range, its gains Extended Control Range. (When checking to see if this model is in Shae’s control range, double the range.)
Swashbuckler
Cut Brutal Charge, Close Volley, and Dual Attack.
Gain Assault XICONX.
Gain Defensive Strike: Defensive Strike - Once per turn, when an enemy model advances into and ends its movement in this model’s melee range, this model can immediately make one basic melee attack against it.
Gain Dodge: Dodge - This model can advance up to 2˝ immediately after an enemy attack that missed it is resolved unless it was missed while advancing. It cannot be targeted by free strikes during this movement.
Gain Duelist: Duelist - This model gains +2 DEF against melee attack rolls.
Pepper Box to Hold Out RNG 4 POW 12
Swabber
Gain Girded.
Powder Monkey
Change the text of Catastrophic Explosion to: Catastrophic Explosion - When this model is disabled by an enemy attack, choose a point 2d6 + 3˝ from this model and roll deviation from that point, with direction 4 on the deviation template pointing directly toward the rear edge of your deployment zone. Center a 4˝ AOE on the point of impact. Models in the AOE suffer an unboostable POW 12 fire damage roll XICONX and the Fire continuous effect XICONX.
(*note: this will also affect the Grymkin Mad Caps)
Talion Theme Force
Change the fourth benefit to: After models are deployed at the start of the game, you can place up to two 3˝ AOEs any where on the table at least 6˝ away from the nearest enemy model. These AOES are hazards and rough terrain that remain in play for the first round of the game. A model entering or ending its activation in one of these AOEs suffers an unboostable POW 12 blast damage roll XICONX.

The previous one was:
Sea Dog Pirate Rifleman
Cut Combined Ranged Attack Cut Sniper Cut Point Blank* Add Wild Shot Point Cost 2 to 1
*also missed this one on the first pass. See, this is what happens when things get muddled up by Snowpocalypse!
We're trying out a different direction with the Rifleman. We reduced their potential ranged output/reliability by cutting CRA and Sniper, and replaced it with Wild Shot so they can shoot before the unit charges or whatever. This direction should give them a bit more flexibility on picking their targets and give them something to shoot most turns. This can be used to potentially disengage your own models before charging, or firing at totally different targets before charging something separate. Or just keep them in the back and shoot.. something!
We also cut their cost to 1. So that is a thing.
Please try these guys out and tell us what you think in battle reports and the feedback form!
Swashbuckler
Add Open Fist to the Clamp
Ha ha! Gotcha! We did sneak a quick change in, but this one is kind of a given. Again, we plan to address the Swashbuckler further after giving everyone the full weekend to play test and provide general feedback, so don't sweat it, the changes don't end here.
Scallywag
Point Cost 10 to 9 Change Bond from Gang Fighter to Groundwork Add Gang Fighter Cut Feign Death Cut Rise Cut Hit the Deck*
*sorry, missed this on the first pass
We cut some of Scallywag's native defensive abilities and baked them into his Bond with Shae. Then, we just moved his Gang Fighter straight onto his card. So, with his new Bond, he should be particularly harder to pin down with Shae, but should always bring a decent damage output regardless of which caster he is with. Also, he got a tad cheaper. This should make him a more attractive option overall. Please let us know your thoughts in batreps and the feedback form!
Captain Rahera, Terror of the Wailing Sea
Add living tag to Sprint aspect of feat Change Rough Seas RNG reduction from -5 to -3
Rough Seas is... rough, to play against. It was a pretty non-interactive spell in it's original form, so we curtailed the range reduction from 5" to 3." This should bring it in-line with other similar effects, still making it an extremely useful spell from providing some counter-play and requiring a bit more thoughtful placement. We also swung the pendulum a bit too far with her feat, which turned her into a more 'jack-emphasized caster. Now her feat provides tangible benefits to her battlegroup and her units without favoring either. Also, let's be real, we weren't wild about Sprinting Banes of various types.

What is the difference between Blood Boon and Blood Weaver and why did they feel the need to change it?

What is the difference between Blood Boon and Blood Weaver and why did they feel the need to change it? This is getting asked a lot, but the difference is actually very meaningful. She can now cast a spell every time she kills something. Blood Boon has a "once per activation" clause. So if she's in melee with more than one model, can cast both Rough Seas and Manifest Destiny, or whatever you choose. Also, Blood Weaver is not tied to a weapon, so both of her melee attacks can trigger it.;

I always feel a little bit weird about that sort of thing; multiple rules that are exactly the same except one is strictly better in some way feels like a design element that should generally be avoided. Oh well.

Well she did get a buff of sprint to all privateer and schrade models now gain sprint in her cmd.
Interesting her feat is now a pure haley 1 feat. Allowing models in her battlegroup and living friendly models an out of activation attack either melee or range.
That actually does play an interesting interaction in cryx as mercs are still affected

Well the question is, will Scharde Pirates with Sprint be better than Trollkin and Ogrun in Slaughter Fleet Raiders. I doubt it tbh. But that's a discussion for the Cryx board.
I still find it curious that they still haven't bothered to increase the puny command ranges of the Privateer solos. Especially now since you are encouraged to bring even more troops I thought that would be even more of an issue.

Still focus six right? Never going to worry about her Cryx then.

Jacks with guns can charge and kill in melee then shoot on feat. Models can run and the shoot or melee on feat. With sprint on her card for warriors sharde pirates can assault and kill their target then sprint to a better location and then spray again. Galleon can ancillary a harpoon then melee (powder monkey), activate and walk to shoot cannons then harpoon then melee + focus attacks, then feat to harpoon and melee again. All with manifest destiny. Add black spot on there for even more wackyness. I think we may find that the feat is a bit too much.

Especially now since you are encouraged to bring even more troops I thought that would be even more of an issue. I did at first too, but now I think that Talion is going to be our Jack theme. Rahera is nuts with Jacks, the new Privateer Jacks are nuts (Swabber makes me swoon and dat cost reduction on Galleon) plus the benefit is "Models/units" giving free solos
"For every full 25 points of Privateer models/units in this army, you can add one solo or two weapon crew units to the army free of cost. Free models/units do not count toward the total point value of Privateer models/units in the army when calculating this bonus."
Rahera plus all the swabbers plus galleon plus Aiyana and Holt plus commodore cannon plus 4 free solos. I'm so down.

I can see the appeal haha! Sounds like a reasonable Bart list as well.
I do see an issue however if Talion does turn out to be a primary jack theme. In that case all the buffs to the units will have been for nought.

Ya, I'm kinda thinking that might be the case. But the idea of each swabber getting 3 drags on feat turn makes me thing of all the possible assassination options...and I normally only play attrition style gameplay

Xintas I see the appeal of the list, but doesn't it feel bad to try to hard to get 4 free slots and then spend them on 2- and 3-point options because you need them for support? If you drop the DSM for instance and pay for the monkeys you can get some other solo, like Dougal or Rockbottom. Moar pew pew? conflictchamber.com/?c6201b_-18nTnJnOnSnSnS8P8S8TnPnPnP8Mn-caMercenary Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] The Talion Charter (CID) !!! This army contains CID entries. !!!
