Seems like good news to me (without knowing anything about the man).

His experience is extremely miniature and table top related so that bodes well. Also, I will speculate this without any evidence...
Maybe BAHI EU will get out of meme status in the near future?

Steelhead box was 20+ available, now out of stock (not surprising at $15). Their metal versions are going for $27 and $27.50, and still have about 10 as I am writing this. I really wish I had my tax return come in right when this hit... I think you were aiming for a different thread, and missed.

Well, a new CEO did wonders for GW, and turned them from a garbage dump into a great game and community focused company (something I honestly thought was impossible) Maybe this guy can stop PP from continuing to commit suicide by stupidity.

Hopefully he does for PP what Roundtree did for GW...

Matt is likely still 'in charge' so I doubt Bob has the same amount of power the new CEO of GW had when he first took power.

The new LotR rules are ace, and my new favorite game, Underworlds, knocked down Warmahordes to 2nd Place in my library.

I also loved epic space marine 2nd edition / titan legions...was it a great game? Nope..unbalanced and clunky as hell.
The context of the sentence, or so i read it ( and if i misinterpreted my apologies in advance) was that the quoted part mainly refered to 40k as this is the flagship game for GW and everyone and their mother said 8th edition was awesome and what not.
From what i read and see its a messed bloat of books and faqs and rules and points and thats only 1 1/2 years after release.
PP is not without its faults but its not on the same level of gw's mess.

The problem is having a stable core game does not earn bucks. Selling new models and games does. And GW have definitely mastered that by throwing a whole array of games at the market now. There are so many crossovers and by-ins.

Last time i checked, and this was a long time ago, not that much...with the lion's share coming from 40k and IP royalties. PP is trying to do the same with MonPoc and Company of Iron and the undercity boardgames and riot quest to come... we'll see how that turns out.

I might be the only person who chuckled because PP EU now has to specify it is about the EU and the UK. At least the PP press team are on the ball about it.
Now if only we could say the same about various other organisations...
