Game 12
Ready to move on and test Rasheth Rasheth -Krea -Raider -Shaman -Shaman Supreme Guardian Ancestral Guardian Ancestral Guardian Hakaar Noviate Noviate Vessel 3x Immortals with UA
Denegrah Infernal Machines -Death Jack -Defiler -Deflier Hell Slinger phantom Necro tech Soul trapper Soul trapper min bile thralls 2x stitch tralls all the rest of the points in thralls.
Scenario is Standoff
T1. I run up. Nothing Special. One unit in the middle, one unit of each side. SG is left leaning. Solo's and beasts are central. No upkeeps. Rasheth runs. T1. He also run up, staying outside of my threat range. The real challenge is the min unit of biles on the left. They run into rubble. The plan is clear, spam out mortality, up to 3 of them a turn with DJ and then kill me with cheap thralls. Seems solid.
T2. Ok, I have to deal with that left side. 6 biles....All 3 ranged attacks, 2x shaman and a raider hit. Great. 3x sunder spirits and two great tough checks means I lose a guy, gain a soul and kill them all. Opponent did not see that coming. The rest of my stuff shuffle on the right runs deep into the zone, but behind a forest. In the middle, I just have to run. T2. He opts to burn off my souls on the SG and get mortality on it. Which he does. The DJ gets mortality on the unit screening it. Hell Slinger phantom and defilers remove my screen and in comes X-1 from defensive strike amount of thralls. Important part, i dont die. I live with like 5-6boxes. On the right, some thralls crash into immortals and I lose a few guys. We both score our zones. 1-1
T3. Vengence on two units, the middle and right. Right I can only get too a few thralls. In the middle, I can get to a few thralls on the AG. I run a node, so I can breath of corruption the thralls on the SG. Rasheth moves up, feats and is able to clear the SG. SG charges in and threshers on the hellslinger, objective and an arc node. Team ranged attack takes down the other node. I just have to waste a unit of immortals on the left to score the zone. On the right, immortals crash into thralls. I score my zone, the left zone and his objective. He scores 0. 4-1. T3. Denny3, feat, loads up the DJ, mortality's like everything and sprays down a lot of guys. On the right, the thralls cant clear the zone and thats pretty much all that matters. He cant stop me from scoring 2 to his one. He clears his zone including the SG, but I score my zone and the left while he scores his. IF he could have scored that right zone, I may lose here in the long run. The state of the board is that I have a full unit of immortals on the left and my beasts + solos, but he's got DJ, and a recursion engine and Denny 3 with sprays and mortality. IDK.. would be a close game.
Damn, Rasheth has some game Fun caster to play. The ranged package with his spells and feat was great.

Game 13 Morghoul2 -Archidon -Raider -Shaman Supreme Guardian Ancestral Guardian Ancestral Guardian Immortal Vessel Immortal Vessel Hakaar the Destroyer Noviate Noviate Immortals with UA Immortals with UA Immortals with UA
vs. Seige1 -Truimph -Hunter Block House Block House Finn Buster Buster Hitch Full Long Gunners with UA Commando's with scatter gunners express team
Scenario was Standoff. Board was SUPER Rough for me. The only real cover was that right forest in the middle of a zone. A few walls that wouldnt really help much..I knew I had really maximize my feat to deliver my army.
T1. I run up, things pretty evenly spread. I stay just a hair outside of 15" T1. He has deployed the long gunners on the far right to maximize open the amount of open ground I have to cross if I want to shut them down. It aint happening. I cant do it vs. a caster with mage sight. He runs them up. Everything runs up. Both block houses are in his zone and the commando's are on the other side of that woods. He fires both block houses at me, i am out of range and the scatters dont hit me.
T2. Well...not much of a plan for that left side. My hope is that I run straight at him and it forces him to put enough shots into the SG that the immortals can get there. On the right, Morghoul2 apperations and charges out of the woods. I feat, catch all but 4 of the commandos, finn and both busters. I kill 2 commandos and sprint behind the woods. Team Raider/Shaman kill a buster. My right immortals run into the commandos. On the left, I just run forward. T2. Seige moves up, feats and puts a ground pounder into some immortals. Kills a few and I tough a few. Triumph shoots my guardian. Long gunners cant double tap into me. They fire a huge CRA, 2 block houses, and finally the hunter. I have 2 boxes left. the commandos try and fight. The ones that werent blinded come in and kill 1 guy! Yeah Vengence! I score my zone 1-0.
T3. Morghul apperates into the woods, charges in, kills some guys, mortality's a block house and sprints away with the animus. Immortals go incorporeal and walk into the back of the commandos. Team ranged attack fires into the block house with mortality. I do some work there. It takes the archidon to have to come in and finish off the immortals, but I dont have the reach to kill Hitch who is in there too. The SG charges up and threshers. I get his objective, a block house and the express team. With bought attacks, I take down the objective and the house. The immortals on that side charge long gunners. I get 6 of them. I kill 1 guy.... I score by zone and have the objective. 3-0. T3. Triumph DOES NOT KILL THE AG WITH HIS FREE SHOT. Thats huge. I have his hunter tied up too. His remaining block house shoots some guys, they die. Finn comes in and kills about 7 immortals. The buster clears out the SG with his bomb. Seige places the perfect ground pounder to free up the long gunners and the hunter. A few long gunners stand and aim to clear some out. Hunter moves up and Truimp moves up and puts my shaman in the dirt. I still score my zone though 4-1 as he scores the left zone.
T4. He cant stop the scenario very well, but one more turn and he's gonna start to catch up REAL quick and blow the board apart. Same Morghoul2 play, move up mortality the house. My archidon charges it and buys out attacks. I blow it up. Immortals take out Hitch. I just have to kill a trench buster and finn to score that zone. Raider aims and kills Finn. I have 1 immortal left and the UA from the center unit. They charge in and I kill the buster with the shot from the UA. I score 3, he scores 1. We go 7-2 and I win on scenario.

Game 14, not a good bat rep at all. Back to Rasheth. asheth -Krea -Raider -Shaman -Shaman Supreme Guardian Ancestral Guardian Ancestral Guardian Hakaar Noviate Noviate Vessel 3x Immortals with UA
Kolgrima -Attachment -Mauler -Ice troll -Basher Fell Caller Valka KSB with elder 2x bears champs with Skaldi min raiders
Scenario was recon
T1. He runs up. Champs to the left, bears on each side, did not ambush them. Mauler/Basher to my right, Ice to the left. Clouds in the middle. T1. It all goes down hill from here. Run up my node....Rasheth moves up and gets blood mark on a bear. I also kill 2 raiders with breath of corruption. I spike dice with shamans and kill it with far strikes. On the left side, I spike dice again and a raider snipes out a bear. I run up.
Not in all fairness you could ask, why could I shoot 1 bear, why wasnt it behind a cloud? There just wastnt enough clouds and I needed a BIG spike to do it. The other bear was taking 2 shots from Ghost eye.
T2. He cant feat on , my range attackers are too deep. He cant push me back with his feat. He just kind clouds up and stands there. Some raiders throw bombs. T2. Repeat on the left side sort of. I run my immortals through a woods and engage some things. I arc blood mark again, throw out 2 breaths of corruption, make both tough checks. Kill another bear on the right. Score my flag.
T3. Let me save you some time...he clocks on this turn. I dont think this match was horrible, he thought it was. I got a few great spikes on dice. He could have ambushed the bears...He could have maybe gotten curse fate on some guys and bombed the living shit out of me with raiders on T2? There were some outs. He ends up playing out his turn, its not productive. He still cant get to my range attackers without being in danger. I am going to feat and kill a ton. He cant stop the SG from bulling the left side of the board.....IDK. Win is a win I guess.
Hopefully more games soon, but Ive got a ton of business travel coming up.

I notice you use the raider shaman package a lot. Do you find it to be worth the 17 points more often than not?

Always useful, at least with immortals. I bring it for a few reasons. First, I want a beast that return value while sitting in a zone. I hate to have all melee beasts and then park them for a point. These guys are perfect for that. 2nd, immortals lacks quality spot removal and these guys deliver on that as well. They have been great so far.

Awesome, thank you. I have been messing around with the theme quite a bit and have enjoyed reading your adventure in it too. One more question if you don't mind... What would you pair with your rasheth list?

Makeda seems to be the answer to everything.

Makeda in imperial war host seems pretty good. Especially with the restored to glory bronzeback

Makeda 3 feat and the bronzebacks beatback is restored to his gauntlets instead of on his Animus. So he can do a number on medium infantry: beatbackinto position, kill, drop a fury, beat back more, kill, drop fury. And when he runs out of targets (he will, most people don't clump enough to let you have too much fun) his new Animus gives unyielding.
I'm also running molik for a similar movement shenanigans with side step. Plus both of these beasts are impressive on their own.
Now is it better than spamming savages? I dunno I haven't tried. The Titan certainly doesn't skew def like others can. But that's the only my way I won a game with her back in mk2 was with bronzeback

Game 15 Rasheth -Krea -Raider -Shaman -Shaman Supreme Guardian Ancestral Guardian Ancestral Guardian Hakaar Noviate Noviate Vessel 3x Immortals with UA
vs. Kara Sloan -Squire -Hurricane -Hunter -Hunter -Minuteman Jr -Charger Runewood Arlan Sword Knight with UA
Scenario is spread the net
t1. He runs up. Refuge up. Hurricane is to my left. Minute man is far right. Everything else is pretty much in the center. Arcane shield on the Hurricane. t1. Not much I can do. RUN! I run the SG as far left as I can and still be in the game. I want him to have to focus on that and draw his range out. I run my light and Rasheth behind a forest opposite the Hurricane. I get up the Krea animus to help the SG.
t2. Misplay on his part. Activates the Hurricane first. It moves up and fire everything into the SG. Decent damage. Now he moves Kara and feats. 2 shots into the SG leaves me on just a few after a boost. Minute man gets into me on my left. I was kind enough to make the perfect pocket for it and can flak 3. Kills them all. Rest of his army activates, kills my AG with the feat shot from the first hunter. Other Hunter misses my cyclops and then hits with the 2nd host for minimal damage. I had the krea aura up from Rasheth. Charger downs 2 guys. Jr runs onto the flag. t2. Vengence on 2 units. I kill the minute man with vengence. The middle unit moves up. I run a node/vessel. Rasheth moves up behind the forest and feats. I put a blood mark on the Hurricane, a breath of corruption into the sword knight and kill 3 and then sunder spirit into them. I am camping 0, but I feel safe behind that woods. One Shaman moves up, animus from the raider, boost a shot in JR and boosts damage. He dies. oh that 20" threat range shot gets them every time. He was camping 1, but I roll high enough. So now that Hurricane is AR15. I send in the unit that took the casualities from vengence and kill it. I have LOS to Kara from the Raider. I move up and take the shot. She is my feat. I hit her and spike the hell out of the dice. She is within 20" of my other shaman and I move up and take that shot too. Connects and thats it.....
So, some fairly poor positioning from my opponent. He could have buried sloan deeper, especially with refuge up. Also, he get JR on that flag and allowed me to shoot him, which led to my being able to take his hurricane. Even with AC, I still think I could have. I would have pumped 3 shots into it. IDK, maybe I dont this turn, but next turn I do. I was doing insane damage this turn and he could not get anything to even get LOS to Rasheth. I just over whelmed him.

Game 16 Morghoul2 -Archidon -Raider -Shaman Supreme Guardian Ancestral Guardian Ancestral Guardian Immortal Vessel Immortal Vessel Hakaar the Destroyer Noviate Noviate Immortals with UA Immortals with UA Immortals with UA
vs. Skarre3 -Kraken -Blood Priestess -pirate UA min gorgers min gorgers max raiders max raiders w Jussica celephax Overlords Dirgeseers Gerlack Axiara
Scenario is standoff
t1. He runs up. Gets up dash/decel. The right has a big forest from the middle. Kraken to the right, all the trolls are left leaning. Celephax are to the right. t1. I also run up. Pretty even, 1 unit in the middle, one on the left and one on the right. I stay just out of his threat range....But he's made a tough choice and Axiara who is a key solo is within 20" of my shaman...so far strike, boost to hit, boost to damage and she is dead, top of 1.
t2. I am out of his threat range. I think he also made an error in deployment has he lead with the gorgers and now he doesnt have tactican and he could have been in throw range of the raiders. Some are. Not much he can do. He throws what he can. Shoots his Kraken, I lose a few guys. SG takes some damage. T2. Into him I go! I have vengence on 2 units. I move up my vessels and arc in two mortalities. I am camping 0, but am behind a woods and on a hill. I'm safe. I cut into him, probably kill 15 raiders/gorgers. Shaman goes to snipe out Gerlak, but I leave him on 3.
t3. He has some vengence on his own thanks to Jussica. On the left, about 4 maraudrer get into me. On the right, the Overlords and a min unit of gorgers get into my unit. They kill 6. In the middle, he cuts into me and I lose 6 more. On the left, I maybe lose two or three. His caster dashes and fires into Hakaar, but leaves me on 1. Kraken fires into the SG. It taken some big damage. t3. I think I can kill him. Hakaar gets vengence, hits a guy, but he toughs. The last 4 guys and UA on the right vengence forward and hit blood gorgers. In the middle, the last 3 of them + UA vengence right towards SKarre3. She is camping two. On the left, I clean up some stuff. I apperation M2 to get a charge on the down gorger that Hakaar did not kill. Morghul2 charges, feats, hits Skarre3 with mortality, hits the Blood Priestess with flesh hook and freaking rolls a 3 for damage. I cast sprint from the archidon and make my charge attack and 2nd attack killing two gorgers. I sprint out of the way. Shaman moves up and kills the blood priestess. Raider shoots through the woods at Skarre3 since she is a huge base. I spike damage and roll 6,6,5. He cuts it by 5. Hakaar charges in and ends up with 3 boosted attacks. The middle unit can charge her through the woods since she is huge base. I go incorporeal. Finally the last 3 on the right side can charge her as well. 2 of them can. They need to do 8 damage and end up over killing her by a few.
Things I learned. People have to respect that 20" shaman threat range. There are so many easy to kill solos out there. She 100% should have feated. The Decel +AR may have saved her.
I did not play Morgul's position well at all. I should have played him mid board and feated on T2, but I just didn't for whatever reason.

Game 17 Morghul3 -Marketh -Archidon -Krea -Shaman Supreme Guardian Vessel Vessel Guardian Guardian Hakaar 3x Immortals with Ua
vs. Maelock -Wrastler -Bull Snapper -Boneswarm -Soul Slave Witch Doctor Underschief Mire -Boneswarm 4x full possee
Scenario was Invasion
T1. He runs up. Just 4 gators across the board. He gets up death pact and soul harvester (which wont help until he kills my Supreme guardian) T1 I also run up. Stay out of his threat range. I run up 1 vessel. Marketh gives me -1 cost and I double blind some gators.
t2. My hope was that he still moves into with his feat. I out threat him, and i dont think that backing up is much an option. He's got about as good of a plan as I do....Feat and run. Which he does. t2. Ok...Well I use incorporeal to make crazy charges across the front of guys. I do very minor damage to everything....with my immortals. I charge in an double blind 2 gators and sprint back to safety. SG goes in. At dice off 4, he needs box cars to kill. I do a TON of damage, but I dont think I kill but one or two that chip some damage on. Guardians kill a couple of my own guys to add souls back to the SG so I can cancel all the mortalities coming.
T3. Maelock death packs and just goes for attrition. He clears out a path with a venom and rages the wrastler that like an idiot I move the SG in charge range of. I just over extended my screen and I couldn't cancel the spells. His wrastler comes in and I smack it, and do great damage, but I hit it in column 4, which i do kill up columns 4,5 and some of 6. But the SG and a TON of immortals die. Also in turn, my archidon dies. This turns out to be huge. T3. Its looking rough. There are a bunch of wounded gators. Morghul 3 feats charges in, blinds a unit and the then the girls blind two gators. Dice are OK and I kill a lot, but I have to repo 3 instead of sprinting. I also kill his wrastler, a ton of gators and a bone swarm. Great dice now has attrition on my side.
T4. Its actually do or die for him I think. Neither of us have scored, but on the right, he's got maybe 3 gators in a unit that are blind. He's got 2 gators in two other units and i'm probaly at 15 immortals + solos and 2 beasts. So the shaman walks up and sac strikes me for like 10...ouch. Maelock comes over and double boosted venom into me. He hits me with 1 and leaves me on 1. T4. I die to corrosion. Literally that spray hit me by 1/4 of an inch. I could have probably repo'd back different. I saw the double venom comming from a mile a way and did the math, it was the sac strike that I missed...
Oh well, I take my first loss 16-1.
I dont think I like Morghul3. That or I dont like my list. The battle group is a little grabass. I had these visions on Morghul3 charging in and wrecking and then sprinting back. Never happened. He's a double blind bot for me. Or I needed a battle group that can get shit done, this one cant.
I need to work on the battle group and list. I missed taking shots with Marketh the entire game. May not have done much, but every point counts vs. maelock. More testing needed on Morghul3.
