Hey guys, love all the Morghouls. Just wondering which is the most competitive? And what are some lists they run. Really keen to try a Morghoul3 list, but he seems... kinda janky? Dunno what PP was thinking taking away his WM.

Morgoul2 is the best. He used to be played on DOA but now that we have Skorne arc nodes people are looking at him in other themes

Morghoul3 in MoW should be a strong counter to rising infantry and the ever popular Battle Engines. Kitties if you want or a couple units of Swordsmen, a Supreme and whatever other flavor you desire. Take 2 Statue Nodes either way.

I agree morghoul2 is probably the most competitive. He brings accuracy/damage fixing and anti healing/tough with mortality. His feat can be used as a further mat/rat fixer it a time walking against infantry/battle engine heavy armies. He also always has a solid assassination plan in his back pocket if your down on attrition.
I'd say he's good in almost every tier but I personally like him in winds as an alternative to the standard rasheth list.

Morgul2 is Best, morgul1 is weakest.
I think the biggest issue for Morgul1 is that he just doesn't have a compelling reason to play him over our other casters. But he can still function well.

If there was one thing to fix about Morghoul1, what would it be?
I always thought it was strange that 2/3 of his Fury stats are 6, but #1 is 5. I don't know how much of an improvement that would make over a spell list alteration, but it is one of the larger inconsistencies I see.

Allowing Marketh in more themes (notably IWH) was a good start. The ability to Abuse a beast, let it do its thing, and then activate Morghoul1 to Maltreat it greatly improves his efficiency. Because of Maltreat, Morghoul1 is effectively a Fury 6 warlock, just with a control of 10".

Technically, that wouldn't be fixing Morgoul, that would be fixing Marketh, and providing for other Warlocks as well.

Probably a battlegroup buff. And give him Elite Cadre: Beast Handlers: Herding. There, fixed. While you're at it give Hexy1 Torment instead of Sunder Spirit so he's got a bit of assassination threat back.

I think you'd like something that was always useful, didn't blow his entire stack and put him within 10 of a Collosal though.
And like I said, you'll still have Torment, over there on Hexy1!

Allowing a warlock to take the support they need is a way to fix that warlock. While the change did not specifically target Morghoul1, it nonetheless improves his playability.

Which is why I said, "technically". Operationally and desirably, it does fix Morghoul1, though.
