So just followed this link from the general discussion... and at the end it talks about the models for riot quest being models that can be used in warmachine and hordes... and if memory serves... wasn’t at least one of the characters previewed supposed to be a convergence model? If so that means we have yet another new model on the horizon!? Let the speculation begin!!! privateerpress.com/community/privateer-insider/a-gaze-into-2019

Yep. She's in the picture standing next to the book. She has knives for hair and is called Iron Maiden. She's so metal.

Aren't Iron Maidens the ancient soul-driven constructs occasionally found wandering old tombs and ruins? They're a bit insane and not really related to Convergence.

I can’t remember where it is, but I’m pretty sure it was mentioned that she is a convergence model. Which heck, maybe she’ll be a baller combat solo or something. Not sure but I’m excited to see!

Well I was kind of right! Her rules have been leaked and she’s a partisan! Cool deal if you ask me! And even cooler I think is her aurora assassination potential. Heck she might actually get me to put Aurora on the table.

I think I’ll try her in Lucant CL slotting her in over the Frustum. She seems pretty bonkers with Positive Charge + Prey. Plus she’s 16/19 vs guns with Father, seems good. I’ve started coming around on pure combat solos in most of my factions.

So I know this thread was originally about J.A.I.M.S. Or w/e but then I also noticed that in destruction initiative one of our theme benefits is we get free points for structures, and can take weapon crew units as a free choice... since we have neither I was wondering if anyone has news of these? Or any thoughts on what they would be? My idea on the weapon crew would be a rediculous long range weapon that would sacrifice a nearby servitor solo every time it attacked and act kinda like a rail gun esc thing. Just because the thought of rail gunning a servitor seems hilarious to me . That being said I’m curious if anyone else has anything on the subject?

Don't get too excited, theme forces have been teasing new releases that are a long way off/potentially nit coming for a long time. I'm sure there are some mk2 theme forces that mention stuff that doesn't exist yet. Anson durst had a them that mentioned "paladin units"

I believe Lucant's mk2 theme force mentioned large based units. Still waiting on those.

I think one of the many reasons COI failed was because it didn't offer much in the way of new. This however offers new models, while also being it's own thing. Heck if you play a few factions you could quite easily come up with a full team if you just purchased them for Warmachine, then you've got two games you can play. Twice the opportunity to put models on the table? Yes please! As for the silly setting of it... I don't know. I've been a big comic book fan for a long time, so the whole "parallel universe" thing doesn't bother me much. Plus as a model based game, you can always do a little bit of converting work. I saw someone on the facebook group modify the new J.A.I.M.s model to look more like the classic RPG one, and it was BALLER! Also getting more stuff for my factions (as I only really play Mercs (and by Mercs I mean specifically dwarves) and Convergence) is ALWAYS welcomed Plus who knows, maybe one will eventually catch your eye . Course what exactly is it that has you so worked up against Riot Quest, just as a curious question? Not being argumentative, just honestly curious.

I suspect that CoI’s chief impediment was the fact that Privateer launched a brand-new game a few months after abruptly obliterating both the PG program and their own forums. Hard to get something new off the ground when all the people who would promote it have evaporated, are pissed, find themselves with no online community and severely depleted morale and interest, or all of the above.
