There's nothing wrong with Madrak3 that changing the name of his Protective Aura so it will stack with the Krielstone aura doesn't fix :P That's wrong in every way.

My fantasy for them is they give him a special rule that lets him take a Krielstone UA instead of a Runebearer.

Also I'd love to see him gain some benefit from shielding guarding an attack. The obvious choice would be Defiant Rage, but I don't think you can give him anymore survivability, so I reckon you give him proper vengence along with righteous vengence

Or maybe Field Marshall: Hand of Vengeance. That would really make squishing whelps a tough call for the enemy! It seems over the top, though, and FM: Righteous Vengeance seems similar. They would both make him unique and drive a much more balanced (between troops and beasts) approach to play, though.

I don't see why it would be over the top when theme benefits already hand out equivalents (Faithful masses gives all heavies hand of vengeance). Also his feat is infantry based so it would seem balanced to give him a battlegroup buff. Although righteous vengeance is probably superior to hand of vengeance for trolls.

If his protective aura was just his cmd, and not based on his remaining fury would help with not bringing a kriel stone, and bringing more troops.
Also maybe try testing him with hand of fate instead of fortune for a damage/hit buff. Or maybe Field Marshall shield guard?

Im so fed up with Madrak 3 that im thinking about sending him by post back to the States in a box to PP. just so they could recycle the resin for another product. He absolutely kills every game for me. So utterly crappie!
Still i think he’s the most gourgius model in Trollbloods they made until now.
But i cant bare see him on my table anymore.
Plz just make a quick fix for him so he will aleast see some tabletime. Im not asking for some super changes but just make him either warrior friendly or warbeast dude but not this utter crap he have now.
Just my thoughts and yes im angry and yes i have tested him alot by my standards and yes i will nevva evva take him outside for a trip to any tournament.

If we look at bottom 3 now voted: Madrak 3, Doomy 1, Grissel 1. Grissel 1 has still her fellcalls but is on line because her feat was nerfed so bad. I think she is still really good caster but I have hard time play her as other casters can do about the same. Also while boundless charge is really good spell, it made her combined arms caster that is not really good supported by our themes. Also lack of node makes her sad. Doomy1 I think is unrevealed gem, that needs to be re-though form MK2. I think he might have good home from SotN as RÖK+goad is always good. Something like
Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North
[Doomshaper 1] Hoarluk Doomshaper, Shaman of the Gnarls [+29] - Mulg the Ancient [22] - Rok [19] - Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Fell Caller Hero [0(5)] Feralgeist [2] Valka Curseborn, Chieftain of the North [0(6)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (max) [9] - Northkin Elder [3] Northkin Bear Handlers & Battle Bears [10] Northkin Bear Handlers & Battle Bears [10] Northkin Fire Eaters [7] Northkin Raiders (max) [15] Pyg Lookouts (min) [7]
But still not sure will that be better than Kolgrima.
Madrak3 is on the same boat. Couple of situational good spells don't make caster and also his "special" ability is overshadowed by Krielstone buff and fact that KSB counts towards free solos in 3/4 themes.

Even Madrak 3 is playable.
Some one has to be last even in an olympic finals. That does not mean you are not good. Trolls have the best worst casters of any non-limited faction imo.

It is interesting that everyone clearly prefers Madrak and Kolgrima as the clear favorites. It was only a couple months ago that everyone was talking up Borka 2. Is the case for Kolgrima an answer to a meta shift or that it took players a little while to practice her and figure out lists that felt right?

Borka 2 is very strong, but he's not quite the meta-shaping S-Tier the way Madrak and Kolgrima are. Close, but not quite.

Never underestimate that

I never have gotten around to putting B2 on the bear. My army just follows an amazingly huge polar bear into battle!

I guess I’ll be the first to throw my hat in the ring for borka2 being the best caster in trolls. I actually dropped madrak from my pair for wmw before I was willing to entertain the idea of removing the bear...
