wtf??? who is getting ragman all shot before he gets there? stay back and use teh rubble. Do of those things since they help, but I got quite a bit of use out of sac pawn earlier in mk3 when gunlines were all the rage. Even now i find it helps dissuade shots against him if he’s near cheap or high arm troops (particularly stuff like assault troops who can survive stuff like boosted hand cannons). However If you put him near def 15+ troops there becomes an incentive to shoot him instead as hitting ragman’s def14 is easier way of getting at them. I haven’t had this ever used against me, but I have exploited it against enemy raggles a couple of times so it’s at least something to watch out for

I suppose it was a vague question. My thought was that, in that specific matchup, the devil dogs are actually going to be doing the bulk of the damage to the slayers, so you'd rather sac pawn a rocketman. I hadn't even considered something surviving the experience; interesting idea. Thanks for the clarification!

The point is more that ragman doesn't get the defensive/dissuasion benefits of sac pawn if he's near higher def stuff as it's usually beneficial to let him die in that case.
