Coming from Khador I was eyeing this faction for a bit, was toying with the idea since the WTC -after seven years of mostly playing Khador, I need something differently, and this faction sure is different- and I bit the bullet and got the all-in-one box.
Initially I wasn't too sure on Syvestro but... He looks both interesting and powerful.
So on the wanted list is Prospero, another heavy kit, a Retalliator, alyce and Morley, for sure.
As for second caster, not sure. I mean, Mackay and the party train is tempting (Once upon a 40k time I did play Imperial Guard with all the tanks after all) but let's hold off on the wallet-rape for now :v
They all look interesting really.

Hey! I too am a recent Khador convert. My All in one, couple heavy kits and prospero are in the mail. I'm sure many are taking the dive recently as stuff gets officially released. Should make these forums fun with list theories.

In my opinion Syvestro is THE toolbox, simply amazing caster, baller feat, awesome spelllist and great model. I'm too a fellow khadorian and quiet astonished how versatile CG list's compared to Jaws ir AC lists... even without all releases. As for Casters you are right, they all seem interesting but Mackay after her CiD nerf didn't look as interesting and Syvestro can run the railless just fine. My biggest release will be CGI, Vulcan and Gearhart for sure. Love the imagination of an english gentlemen shooting the sh*t out of other stuff because he fancy's it. As for the buying list... 2 armyboxes should be the way to go IF you wan't to double up on some stuff like AT's, Trancer and DBR's (which are unbelievable expensive in Europe). Just sell your excess rocketmen(except Lucas can get good work out of 2 units), Gorman and Syvestro and you actually have a good deal  . Prospero is awesome, but i see him only in Prime Materia (duh) which means a janky Syvestro list or you go Locke, which i haven't unlocked for me just yet. Anyway I'm quiet happy with the faction and i hope you guys will be too  |

Yeah I'm starting a journeyman and opted to use Locke (we're all using custom starting BGs). She looks interesting and I want to put jacks on the table. You're right about DBRs, their cost is really high comparatively speaking...

Actually got around to playing my stuff, fifty points:
Magnum Opus: Box contents minus the rocketmen gunners, adding Sylys and Hutchuk.
Opponent had Goreshade4 with Imperatus, arcnode, sentinels. We didn't get to finish the game due to time but here are some observations:
- Syvestro really likes Sylys. Gotta try Alyce when I get her but for him, maybe, Sylys is the better choice. Maybe.
- DEF18, blast-immune troops piss people off.
- Imperatus is total Bullshit between the lowered points and having less reserves at 50 points. Completely wrecked his shit between a blind, rust, a decrepitation shot and two charging assault troopers.
- speaking of which, assault troopers are pretty okay for what they do.
- acid bombs shit all over single wound "ARM23, immune to blast"-dudes. I knew this, but I never had so much acces to it :v
- That lone Trancer performed way above and beyond what three points should.
