So the Tharn CID has now ended. Does anyone know what is going to go through CID next?

Bugger was kind of hoping Trolls were coming up next, the ranged/light war beast part of the faction needs serious work. Rather optimistic, Trolls had Storm of the North July last year. Skorne, Mercs and Ret are still without dedicated theme/release-cycle driven CID's. There'd be a lot of whining if all factions weren't done at least once each before giving second cycles. Trolls, as a whole, don't (IMO, though I'm aware you and others may/do feel differently) need much in depth adjusting (unlike Skorne, whose entire internal balance is kinda screwed). Still, there's no guarantee that PP won't sneak a couple Troll models into an ongoing CID cycle if they feel there is a necessity for it, but it is unlikely as I don't think they do and the community at large aren't asking for it.

For Trollbloods, what they need is not a CID; they just need an immediate fix for the animus of their light warjack and end the flawed mechanism of their heavy.

Well, at least Pyre and Slag, that fix their RNG by 6 - then you don't compeled to use a Dire Troll Mauler or expensier option.

Are you absolutely sure that is what they need? I mean, sure Moorclaw could probably use some work, but he doesn't work only for Trollbloods...

It seems one of the worst folly what I did recently.

Well, at least Pyre and Slag, that fix their RNG by 6 - then you don't compeled to use a Dire Troll Mauler or expensier option. In all honesty, I think all the elemental lights need some work. But it runs into the problem that pretty much every faction has outlier battlegroup models that don't find regular (or even occasional) homes in lists, that once CID or errata is announced for specifically one faction, other faction communities will request the same for theirs. We're getting to the point that models bloat is creeping in in a big way and it's slowly getting really difficult to fully balance every model to be viable at every level of play without a tremendously long readjustment cycle. Part of that problem is the massive variation in locks/casters that means each jack/beast needs to be balanced against every available in-faction buff. This is an inordinate amount of work (unless I'm missing how PP handles CID internally, in addition to the public testing, that is) for a handful of models from each of the main factions and difficult to justify from a business perspective (playing devil's advocate here). Personally? Oh, sure, I'd love for the Gorgon in Ret, Helldiver in Cryx, the Argi ('cos I don't Kromac2) in Circle and others to have another look at, but it won't happen because the factions, as wholes, are working (well, once the respective dynamic updates hit at the very least).

The developers have stated many times this will literally never happen. Trolls are in a fantastic place. They just need some slight adjustments to their ranged units (burrowers anyone?) and they need to include Dozer in the Kriel Company theme and release Gunny 2 on a modified war wagon and we are golden.

Yes, I even played across the table from it last night. The accompanying rules revisions to other legacy models (pZaal's soul transfer ability) will come out at some point in an errata, from what I understand, but the model itself it out for sale and in WarRoom.
