Everything you mentioned is currently available in Circle, though? That's kind of the point. Nothing Krueger2 does with Ninja Pig (and I'm aware that it's pretty good, I've played it) would be changed by making Rorsh and Brine FF. You can even primal it with a battle boar if you want to, since you're not currently playing Krueger in any theme that can take a gorax. TKing Brine is OK, and I've played around with it, but have ultimately found him to not be worth including over another Geomancer in Krueger2, given that my Krueger2 list is intended to be an anchor. Brine is an incredibly matchup dependent piece, that is good for getting 'oops I win' moments against unfamiliar opponents, but he lacks flexibility into most of the things I want to drop Krueger into. It’s about investing in that peice. To play him currently, you are dropping 15 for those 2, 7 for the battle boar, and taking away from free options and benefits from your theme. If they become FF, you don’t need to invest like you would in another theme, it just comes naturally. No Brine is always good. 16” non linear threat (possibly 18 or 20 if you really get it going) is really hard to plan for or stay away from. Something Krueger just kind of exacerbates. This is just one example as well, my biggest oh noes, concern is enlivened Purebloods because they are pretty darn hard to trade with. Seriously Mac ... re-read the theme as written. Only blackclads would generate free points. R&B being friendly faction would still have the free point opportunity cost as before.

Still awesome to move forward under ghostly, spray, and then have enliven to get out of dodge on the retaliation. Enliven has tons of counters though. Ranged attacks to plink the beast and force its use, knockdown, stationary, and surrounding with chaff.

Druids as a unit still wouldn’t make the theme due to far more favourable options. Honestly even w sac pawn, the only reason you’d take em is to get free points? or because u need something to pad out the points. There’s always gonna be a minion unit you’d rather have. Without some serious re-thinking the Druid unit is just a lil too dull for what it gives us. I’m not sure a points drop would even facilitate as they are.

First off: Interesting thoughts on making the theme feasible.
In regards to the theme itself: I fully believe this is an incomplete theme and is missing pieces that are significant. When this theme eventually goes through CID I think it will have several models added that will really flesh it out (hopefully a ranking officer). I would like to have seen better use of the theme benefits, say twice the minion slots to compliment the sac pawn ability or free points are based off the points you have spent on blackclads and minions. The Skorne theme Disciples of Agony seems really cool and Secret Masters could be too.

super interesting concept and as someone who's getten to play against disciples of agony and the llaelese resistance recently i think it would be cool to have a super flexible theme like them

Based on changes to the battle mages for ret, i think we can expect some really nice changes to druids when it comes around. I for one think that they should just drop significantly in points. 8 points for a unit, 4 for the UA.

If ur getting a 6 man unit for 8pts, 4pts for a UA seems a lil crazy. If they get changes as per battle mages, then the role of the unit would change, not just the abilities/points. .... that CID is a Looooooooong way off anyway. So we really are wishlisting. Getting push/pull back would be a massive boost. Keeping Prowl The clouds staying put after Druid’s death would really help too. Would those details be enough to get them back into lists? I’m still unsure, their utility could be pretty sweet, yet there still seem to be better options that can actually do work and frustrate our foes.
All this and the theme still needs to be adjusted so that taking logical options isn’t counterproductive w free points etc..
