You didnt have to feat? I would like to inow how good of an attrition feat it really is. Looks very strong on paper but i havent seen it in mk 3 yet...
How did fog + wolfs work? It looks good on paper but i worry about thier movement being too restricted by it.

I reckon turn 3 was probably a feat turn but I didn't see it until after Morvahna had activated and the following turn if I hadn't have just won I dont think it would have been worth the clock.
That was partly why I wanted to play the list but I didn't really get a chance to test that as his spray jack was in the way so I kept the wolves way back and on the flank gettin themselves ambushed

Played another game with Goatvahna last night and won on clock but dissatisfyingly so as both my opponent and I agreed.
I guess it felt like neither of us deserved to lose like that but guess we gotta learn to play faster. Anyone else ever have games like that? I'm curious.
I did however remember to feat this game and brought back 4 ravagers which was nice.
Not sure if I'll stick with Morv after that since I feel she deserves another outing to make up for it or move on as there's lots I want to try

Ok so last night I was playing baldur1 into Amon. My doubt about Devourer's Host is how it plays into a lot of ARM so I was happy to try this matchup.
My list
Baldur, Ghetorix, Feral, 2 x max ravagers with CAs, bloodtrackers with nuala, ravager shaman, lotf, 2 x night witches, 2 x wolf rider champs
His List
Amon, 4 x dervishes, 2 x indcitors, 2 x crusaders, sanctifier, 2 x min choir, the book, a wrack, 2 x vassals, 2 x vassal mechaniks
Scenario was spread the net and I lost the roll. We talk about it and my opponent wanting a harder game decides to go second as we both agree that both our armies want to push up and take space. In that regard he gives me the more annoying side.
Terrain
There was a building in front of my zone, a forest between my zone and the circle which gave some protection to his flag, a forest on my side of the circle, a pond just outside the circle on his side, a trench in his zone and some rubble between my flag and his zone.
Prey from gade goes on the bloodtrackers who in turn put their prey on him
Circle Turn 1 Bloodtrackers run to stay out of threat of gade. Lotf gets just behind the forest (SPOILER He's going to stay there threateningly for most of the game). Night witch goes behind forest to threat his flag. Baldur moves up, puts up solid ground and rapid growth. Everyone else runs.
Menoth Turn 1 Mobility and run is the order of the day. A jack gets enlivened but I don't pay attention to which. Gade moves back to make my prey less worth it.
Circle Turn 2 Upkeep solid ground. The Sanctifier (who has fortify) and an Indictor are in threat of 3 ravagers even if Stone skin them. Figure I'll do some damage with the trackers first so I swap the prey and start shooting, some are out of range so take shots at a crusader and do very little. The rest go for the Indictor. The first one hits and does 2 damage. He enlivens it just out of threat of the bloodtrackers so the rest of the shots go onto the Sanctifier who takes some damage. Then they repo out of the way. Ghetorix moves towards my zone (should have ran him in to make him contest but I derp and don't). Baldur puts stoneskin on the ravagers, feats and moves his forest to be annoying to his jacks in the centre zone. Two ravagers can get in on the Indictor and blow it up killing it, thank you stone skin and hot dice, another ravager runs to get in the way of the Sanctifier. The night witch on the left sits on my flag in case he doesnt contest. On the right the witch moves back as she doesnt wanna get trampled and hit by a crusader. The wolf rider goes and shoots gade but misses, she repos back. Right ravagers run up. Throughout this turn I look at lotf birding into the book and making a whole bunch of attacks on Amon but I don't think it's worth it.
Doing the math now. I need a five to hit the book and have enough support nearby to fill me up with corpses, so I boost the blood reaper attack making it pow 13, then full of corpses buy attacks and hope for eights? According to buyorboost it's a .6% run so good to know I made the right call.
Menoth Turn 2 So I haven't contested his flag, barely contested his zone and haven't put anything in my zone...I'm good at this game...still he takes his time deciding how to allocate as he can just about get a dervish onto each wolf rider but isnt sure how much focus he'll need for both. Eventually he gets on with it and kills both wolf riders. He also kills my contesting ravager and another one or two with a dervish and the indictor. Choir puts up battle on half his jacks and the others put passage on the other half. Other than the dervish and a crusader his jacks shift towards his zone avoiding my feat. Ends up him scoring two (his flag and zone).
Score 2-0 to Menoth
Circle Turn 3 Right got to get back on scenario, I make the plan to score my flag and zone and contest. I upkeep stoneskin and the rapid growth but drop solid ground. Vengeance attacks do some damage to the dervish and kill a mechanik then the ravagers activate, charge at some odd angles and finish it off. They also do some chip damage to the Indictor. The night witch charges and strips fortify from the Sanctifier and her second attack doing the grevious misses unfortunately. However the feral walks in and kills him with fury to spare. The shaman gives magic weapons to the blood trackers and goes to my flag. The blood trackers kill the book and put some damage into the Indictor (who is now the prey). Ghetorix gets into my zone. Three ravagers charge, one on a crusader, one on a dervish and the last one importantly charging his vassal to hopefully overtake into Gade which he does killing both. The others do some chip damage. LotF does nothing.
Score 2-2
Menoth Turn 3 Once again I've contested with a single stone skinned ravager so he goes to kill that with a dervish, I tough and he combo struck so he has to commit another jack to doing it. That jack also kills my night witch and has a go at my chieftan but he barely survives. His crusader and dervish on the right kill a couple of my ravagers and one toughs in contesting range of the flag but an arcane bolt from the vassal kills him and he repos to the flag in a pretty nice move. He doesn't contest my zone. He's really low on clock at this point.
Score 4-3 to Menoth
Circle Turn 4 I look at the board and try to figure out how to get ahead and see he's only got a choir member and a crusader in the middle zone. I kill the far right dervish with vengeage I think(?). The bloodtrackers kill the choir member and do some damage to the crusader, Ghetorix charges him and scraps the jack. Baldur walks into the zone. (I thought about running the ravagers to score the middle instead of baldur but then there's nothing stopping the crusader from getting to my zone). The Feral kills a dervish on the first bought attack but it's not enough to clear my flag. The Night witch kills a bunch of choir and the vassal to make sure he can't score. Ravagers go contest his zone. I knock it over cos I'm getting tight on time myself.
Score 4-4
Menoth Turn 4 This turn is very blurry as it's super fast, he kills the ravager in his zone. But doesnt move a jack back in. Amon moves over to the flag and flashing blades a bunch killing the night witch and a ravager but he can't clear the flag. Knocks it over to me with one second left. I score the centre zone again.
Score 5-4
At this point we call it as I can just activate everything and win on clock ahead on points. Great game but highlights how I need to play faster. I was up on attrition and about to get ahead on scenario but if my opponent had been faster I would have probably clocked in the next two turns. Either way great to get a game against a faction I don't usually play.

Another week another battle report or in this case two. First game was Kreuger1 into Locke. I thought this was a bad match but wanted to play the storm raptor so I did. My list
Krueger, Storm Raptor, Pureblood, bloodtrackers with nuala, ravagers with chieftan, bloodweavers, both blood and ravager shaman, lord of the feast and a swamp gobber chef His List
Locke with 2 x toro, vindicator, retaliator, liberator, and a supressor and a vanguard on Prospero, 2 x combat alchemists, 2 x dragons breath rockets, 2 x trancers and hutchuk Scenario was spread the net and I lost the roll. My opponent took second to choose the side and I get to go first. Terrain
There were 2 buildings in front of my zones, which I thought would make it awkward for the storm raptor but it wasn't so bad, a hill in my zone, a cloud (LOL) in the centre zone barely touching my zone and on the other side an acid pool barely touching his zone, a wall beside his flag, a forest beside mine and a pond in his deployment zone that slowed his vindicator down the whole game. DeploymentMy regular: Bloodweavers ambush, then east to west - pureblood, ravagers, ravager shaman, blood shaman, krueger, raptor and then way out of the flank the swamp gobber chef His regular: Hutchuk ambushes, Vindicator, liberator, dragons breath rocket, toro, supressor, locke, vanguard, prospero, retaliator, toro, dragons breath rocket My AD: Bloodtrackers between the buildings, lotf on the right flank His AD: Alchemists and trancers make a line in front of his army. The bloodtrackers put prey on the alchemists to the west Circle Turn 1I run to stay out of threat. The big bird clears the building easily. Krueger puts up gale winds (goodbye central cloud ) and lightning tendrils on the trackers. CG Turn 1He moves up, drops some clouds with the alchemists and blast damage kills a blood tracker or two? His scatters are pretty bad this turn. Circle Turn 2Nothing really to ambush so I don't and I upkeep tendrils. Bloodtrackers kill 2/3 of their prey unit and the whole other unit and I think at that point I mini feated and dinged the supressor for a few. During my repo he proc'd countercharge on his toros and missed both. A toro is now in charge range of the raptor but over the wall I don't think it's worth going for so I opt to shoot the supressor a few times but it lives and I repo back knowing he can probably get a jack to me but it's not easy and it will only be one. Krueger gale winds and feats to kill an alchemist and a trancer. On the other side I get 1 ravager charge on a Toro and the rest just run, getting one in the far corner of his zone. The pureblood goes for a spray to kill a trancer but misses. Ravager Shaman goes to sit on the flag cos I forget about Hutchuk until immediately after when I run Lord of the feast out of ambush range and I run the gobber up the flank cos if he wants to ambush for a gobber im ok with that. CG Turn 2He does ambush Hutchuk at some point this turn and he kills my shaman who doesn't get tough due to take down. He kills a ravager with his Toro. Clears off his other Toro and road to wars out from behind the wall to get in charge range of the raptor. Does a lot of work to the blood trackers despite their high def, think I'm left with two by the end of the turn. Lotf takes some damage from an acid bomb. Vindicator shoots the Pureblood and the scatter puts a fury on him. Locke repairs the Supressor and feats. The redlined Toro goes into the Raptor, misses his charge, and leaves the bird on 20 with a crippled body. No one scores Circle Turn 3 (or the turn I firetruck up) I drop tendrils. Don't have a decent ambush target except for Hutchuk so decide to wait. Pureblood passes his frenzy check. I think I can score three, my flag, his zone and mine so I start to put that in action by doing vengeance attacks into the Liberator and Hutchuk. Hutchuk survives and I miss the Liberator with a couple, 15/19 is a pretty good stat line, but hit him in the back and do some damage. Then I assault it with the Pureblood in order to kill the trancer. Bad idea as the Toro then countercharges into the zone. Damn. Should have engaged him with the bloodtrackers first. He misses the Pureblood but that screws up the plan alright. I make sure to kill the trancer anyway to avoid getting knocked down next turn and proceed to miss attacks on the Liberator. This is also giving tokens to Locke. My ravagers activate and then one in the back does some damage to the Liberator, I get a charge in the back of the Toro too that does decent damage taking out the shield and the others chip away. The Chieftan finishes off Hutchuk and my blood shaman takes the flag. Krueger goes heals the raptor and charges the Toro engaging the Storm Raptor in the back and does 10 damage. He then heals the storm raptor and gale winds. Camping 3? Must have gotten Harmonius exaltation...anyway he's not in a safe position so stormy and the lotf need to make him safe. But then they do not. Lotf leaves Prospero on 1 box and the Storm Raptor misses all its initials on the toro and I buy one attack at dice -5 and do very little. At this point im thinking I'm pretty screwed so pass turn although I should have bought 2 even though the odds are bad as I may have crippled something. That said doing what if's I really should have back Krueger out of the feat and hidden behind a building. Alternatively I should have made sure that Lotf killed Prospero thus getting rid of a couple of those shooting threats before committing Krueger if that was necessary. I score my flag. Score 1-0 CG Turn 3He shoots everything at Krueger and the disrupted Toro punches him to death. Thought disruption meant the jack could do nothing so that was a surprise but good to know. Thoughts, I figured this was a bad match up but on reflection if I played it better I had a decent chance on scenario. An interesting lesson on Locke's feat too, you really have to think carefully about anything that will give tokens.

Ok game 2 was my first time testing Iona and my friend brought Makeda1 in Masters of War...yay more tough ignoring stuff...
My list
Iona, Stalker, Gnarlhorn, 2 x ravagers with chieftans, wolf riders, brighid and caul, croc pot, lotf, 2 x wolf rider champs and a ravager shaman
His List
Makeda, Molik Karn, Rhinodon, Agonizer, Krea, Max Cetratii with Vorkesh, Min Incendarii, Min Arcuarii, Legends of Halaak, Tyrant Commander, min beast handlers and Standard and an Extoller
Scenario was Mirage and I lost the roll. My opponent took second to choose the side and I get to go first.
Terrain
A forest in my zone, a hill just to the east of that, a forest centrally beside the flag, rubble beside my flag and a building protecting his flag, on his side there's a hill on the west side, a trench in his zone and another patch of rubble to the east.
Deployment
My regular: wolf rider champ, ravagers, wolf riders with Iona in the middle of them, stalker and croc pot behind them, ravagers with Gnarlhorn behind them, shaman, wolf rider champ
His regular: extoller, incendiarii, molik, legends with makeda, cetratii, agoniser behind them, krea, rhinodon, arcuarii
My AD: Brighid and Caul in the forest in front of me and Lotf on the hill
Brighid and Caul put prey on Molik Karn
Circle Turn 1 The tharn run screaming at him, I leave the wolf riders til last which was a mistake as I'd gummed myself up a bit, iona puts surefoot on the wolf riders and phantasm on the unit of ravagers facing the arcuarii due to the shorter range guns and higher pow. My beasts rile to fill iona and chill out further back, so do Brighid and Caul and Lotf, Croc pot fills up LotF. The west wolf rider champ hides behind the building threatening whatever goes on the flag and the east one just goes as far as possible.
Skorne Turn 1 He runs up as far as he can in most cases but keeps some stuff back in trenches etc. He quickens the incediarii who get some shots lighting some dudes on fire but only 1 damage comes of it.
Circle Turn 2 I upkeep both spells. Then decide as they haven't shield walled but are still bunched up I'm going to go for a charge with my wolf riders to jame while the ravagers get into position. I get 4 charges and the forest is blocking 1 (that could have been avoided if I swapped targets), regardless I kill some and jam the rest. Everyone else positions to make sure he can't get in my zone and contest his, shaman gets on the flag. East wolf rider champ continues her run to his deployment zone. Croc pot fills up Caul.
Skorne Turn 2 I'm feeling pretty happy about the puzzle I've presented, DEF18 with annoyance wolf riders jamming his entirre army. But although hit takes him awhile he still gets work done. Between makedas carnage, her boosted attacks, back arcs, molik karn and one insanely lucky krea he kills all the wolf riders and still manages to get work done on my ravagers. A lucky shot kills my western chieftan as well. Still he doesn't manage to contest my stuff.
We both score 2.
Circle Turn 3 I was expecting to have more but I still have enough and Molik is in threat of Brighid and Caul so that's the plan for the turn. Kill him, contest his elements and keep scoring mine. Vengence goes into the back arc of some stuff to avoid retaliatory. Iona goes, feats, and charges a dude who goes for the tough and fails but makeda takes a damage to keep him alive. She takes her second attack, same thing, I buy an attack and again. I see how this is going to go and is waaaaaay too close to Molik for me to be comfortable with that so she boosts a pursuit into him and we go do other stuff. Hoping that I can clear the lane to him for Brighid and Caul. East ravagers charge some guys out of the feat and the krea. I kill the Krea, 2 arcuarii and do some damage to the objective. Wolf rider champ charges the Rhinodon in the back, does some damage and repos 5 back. The other wolf rider champ goes to shoot the solo and misses but stays in contesting range of the flag. The one guy in the way gets spectral lashed by the Cauldron and he dies. Brighid and Caul go in, assault shot does some damage and I forfeit her attack since I dont want Brighid to get killed. Caul's charge cripples everything bar mind and he misses the retaliatory strike. Caul buys an attack and ends him. Lotf hangs back.
Score 4-2
Skorne Turn 3 He hits back, killing the wolf rider with the legends but doesn't get into my zone or contest my flag. The armour from Iona's flag seriously helps survivability this turn which I was not expecting.
Score 6-3
Circle Turn 4 At this point I confirm that if I contest his flag I win and since I have to nudge a ravager slightly in order to do so we call it game there.
Score 8-3
Thoughts, Iona has some really nice tools and that feat is really nice. Looking forward to playing her some more soon as the list feels pretty simple to pilot but has a lot of tools.

Got another game in over the weekend with the Tharn, taking a break from double ravagers
My list
Baldur, Ghetorix, Feral, max ravagers with CA, trackers with nuala, wolf riders, the death wolves, 2 x wolf rider champ, whitemane, lord of the feast
His List
Vlad2, 2 x clamjack , shocktroopers with CA, max mechaniks, eliminators, 2 x drakhun, mow kovnik, 2 x suppression tanker, forge seer, orin midwinter, siege chariot Scenario was Spread the Net and I took first to take up space.
Terrain
On my side there's rubble near my flag and a hill just outside my zone, some more rubble in my zone, a building central, a forest in between my flag and his zone, a wall in his zone a trench on his side and some water near his flag.
Deployment
My regular: Feral, Wolf rider champ and Ravager boat on the left to protect my flag, baldur centrally with Ghetorix, wolf riders and second wolf rider champ on the right
His regular: Chariot, tanker, shock troopers, kovnik, vlad, clamjacks, other tanker, drakhuns, support and eliminators are behind this line of steel
My AD: LotF near my flag, death wolves central, blood trackers on the right
Prey goes on a Drakhun
Circle Turn 1 Run forward, baldur puts out his forest and solid ground.
Khador Turn 1 He runs forward, crossing the preyed Drakhun away from the bloodtrackers. Other than that he puts out his upkeeps - assail, arcane might and HoF on the shocktroopers.
Circle Turn 2 I upkeep solid ground and drop the forest to move it to a more advantageous position later. The blood trackers move up, 2 can get on the original prey target and spike nicely leaving him 1 box still on the horse. I swap the prey over to the over one and proceed to miss a bunch of 6s as he's sitting in a trench. Forget to repo them. The left wolf rider champ walks and jumps into the back of a tanker and blows him up before repoing out of sight of Vlad's army. A ravager moves up to jam the shock troopers and a couple go up to block the siege chariot. Bladur moves the forest and puts stoneskin on the ravagers. Everything else moves up. Rightmost wolf rider champ is now near his deployment zone.
Khador Turn 2 His mechaniks heal up the drakhuns. On the right the drakhun kills a few trackers and repos into my zone and a clamjack kills another few but less than he should due to solid ground. He clears off all but two of my ravagers with a combination on the chariot and the shocktroopers. Couldnt pass a tough check for my life. An eliminator puts some damage into a wolf rider champ. He doesnt get anything to his flag and doesnt contest mine.
Score 1-1
Circle Turn 3 Drop stoneskin as there's only two ravagers and only the leader is in command. Other two spells are upkept. There's a nice spot where Ghetorix can get to both the clamjack and the drahkun. He unhorses the drakhun on the first attack leaving the wolf riders to finish him off (which they do, prey moved to Vlad the suppression tanker I think) and buys a four into the clamjack leaving him on four boxes. On the other side the Lotf birds into the back of the shock troops and kills four of them. The lone ravager and tala from the feath wolves fail to kill the remaining one. Tala proc'd countercharge on the drakhun but cannibal magic'd so she lived to do no damage. Baldur feats (pre-empting his feat), move up and knowing I need to have 2 fury on me next turn I put up sminy growth and drop 1. The wolf rider champ hops into the back arc of the elimnator and kills him and a mechnik before repoing away. The other kills Orin Midwinter. The whitemane runs to score my flag.
Score 3-1
Khador Turn 3 Lotf, the two ravagers and Tala die to a mixture of the chariot, bad santa and his kovnik. His clamjack limps into my zone. The suppresion tanker turns around and kills the wolf rider champ. Not my else happens this turn that I remember.
Score 4-2
Circle Turn 4 I upkeep my two spells. Would prefer Ghetorix to push but figure I need him to crack the ARM23 so I hit and boost damage on an axe attack finishing him off. So the blood trackers and wolf riders push, kill off the tanker and position threateningly. My wolf rider champ charges the drakhun in the back, does very little and repos behind the wall. Caleb also wiffs but Skoll does the business and kills the last shock trooper a mechanik and the MoW Kovnik. The feral moves over to shield Baldur.
Score 6-2
Khador Turn 4 He has very few models left but decides to feat anyway, Vlad then kills the wolf rider champ himself. It takes most of his attacks to lift the Death Wolves. The siege chariot and eliminator do some work to the feral but he's still fully functional by the end of it. He doesnt get anything in my zone.
Score 7-3
Circle Turn 5 In my head I need to clear the siege chariot to win, so the feral activates and kills him on the second bought attack. However all I had to do was contest his zone which I do by running in a wolf rider. Baldur then tries to kill a feated on which I fail to hit. But game ends...
Score 9-3
Really fun slog of a game, discussed with my opponent after and he thinks he should have gone in to contest with the clamjacks harder to stop me scoring and keeping him in it longer which is probably fair.

Another week another game this time against Lukas, handily last week Arcane Assist had a video featuring Lukas so I felt pretty good knowing what his game plan would be and how to counter them.
My list Baldur, Ghetorix, Feral, max ravagers with CA, bloodtrackers with nuala, wolf riders, death wolves, ravager whitemane, lotf, 2 x wolf rider champs
His List Lukas, Alyce, 2 x liberators, vindicator, 2 x max storm troopers, 2 x dragons breath rockets, lynus and edrea with morely, combat alchemists, gorman, hutchuk and 4 x trancers
Scenario was spread the net and I lost the roll. My opponent decided to go first and I decide to take the side with the forest and let him play in his own acid pool.
Terrain In front of my deployment zone there's a forest to the west, a building to the east just touching the corner of my zone and there's also a fog cloud on the edge of my zone. In the centre zone there's a building and an acid pool that goes into his zone. Between my zone and his flag is a wall and between my flag and his zone there's a hill.
His Deployment An arc node either side with a storm trooper unit and a rocket crew, caster and his heal bots in the middle. Hutchuk ambushing.
My Deployment Ravagers on my west side, ghetorix and whitemane on the east, Baldur and wolf riders in the middle with the champs on either flank. I'm an idiot though and forget my feral so I just plop that down on the flank (outside Baldur's control range)
His AD Combat Alchemists in the middle, 2 trancers on either side
My AD LotF near my flag, Death Wolves in the middle, Bloodtrackers on the east
Prey goes on the combat alchemists
CG Turn 1 Everything runs forward, Mirage goes onto one unit of storm troops and Iron Flesh on the other
Circle Turn 1 There are 5 blood trackers just in range of the liberator so I mini-feat and try put some damage into the arc node since I know that he's gonna try assassinate Baldur at some stage. Even with prey I need 7s to hit and only 1 gets through but she puts a hefty 5 points of damage in so I'm ok with that. Then the ladies repo to avoid clumping up for blast. The wolf rider champ moves into the zone behind the cloud. The Ghetorix and the whitemane position into the back of the zone. LotF, ravagers, wolf riders and Death wolves push up but due to the ambush I'm really clumped up which will cause issues next turn. Baldur moves over a bit to get the feral in control, he then casts solid ground and rapid growth to block some LoS. The Feral then moves up and riles.
CG Turn 2 He ambushes Hutchuk on my zone side (I think this was a mistake as I wasn't going to put anything on my flag while he was in reserve). He upkeeps his spells and goes ahead. Various shooting kills Caleb who wasn't behind the building, a trancer smites Tala into Skoll but the both cannibal magic the damage. Another trancer hits a ravager but he survives. Some other shooting half kills the Wolf Rider champ in my zone but blast kills a few blood trackers. Hutchuk tries to finish off the wolf rider champ but he eats a counter charge from the whitemane who kills him to the button and he doesn't tough. Vindicator shoots Ghetorix and sticks a fury on him but solid ground means no damage. Between the combat alchemists, gorman and Lukas he cloud walls like half the board. A trancer sits on the flag.
Circle Turn 2 I upkeep both my spells and pull from the feral as if Gheto frenzies he just eats a bloodtracker rather than a ravager. Thankfully he doesn't. Vengeance kills the trancer and attempts to get some ravagers forward and unclumped. They kill him easily but unclumping is still an issue, I can get two to his arc node who is passively sitting at the back of his rectangle and a couple into some combat alchemists but LotF is in the way and in order to move him onto the flag I need the ravager out of the way so rather than waste clock I just go for the charges on the jack as he's the priority, we'll get to the alchemists later. So they get the charge and boost the hit with their corpses (def 15 arm 19 jacks suck) and plink him up a bit. The other ravagers run around to get out of the way, generally keeping to the left side of the building. LotF gets on the flag. The wolf rider champ in my zone walks up to the liberator, jumps behind him and then the wolf and the ranged attack kill him so she puts a javelin into someone else and does some damage. Killing a jack and contesting a flag is a pretty good activation. For lack of a more relevant prey target it goes on the shock troopers. The blood trackers then charge them as they're currently ARM22 to ranged attacks. Still in spite of the ARM 18 to melee they still kill two/three of them which was more than I'd hoped. Then in a very weird activation Tala kills a trancer, who blows up (but my models are immune to blast due to solid ground) and pushes her into melee range of the other trancer which she kills which then pushes Skoll into melee range of a combat alchemist rather than the trancer he was supposed to kill (Tala got him anyway) but he misses fighting over cover. The wolf riders activate next and do some work on a combat alchemist, the dragons breath rockets and a storm trooper. Generally they're just gumming up the works for him and getting in the way. Baldur goes next, walks forward, puts spiny growth onto himself and feats (Knowing the my opponent is going to feat next turn). Everyone else positions threateningly, Gheto spiny growths himself and gets behind a wall, the feral goes to be in walking range of his rectangle zone and the second wolf rider champ hangs back. I'm one fury down in case the vindicator decides to put another fury on the board for me.
I score 2
CG Turn 3 He upkeeps both of his spells and feats. He allocates 2 to the Vindicator who whacks two wolf riders. Lukas goes next and feats. 9 Juice tokens gives him a lot of focus (he's been juicing for 3 and healing to full every turn). So he kills another 2 wolf riders with boosted attacks, unfortunately misses a force hammer on a ravager engaging his liberator and puts down a cloud to keep Lukas safe from Skoll and he camps a bunch. (but he's probably in Gheto's range so I'm eyeing that for the rest of the turn). He fails to kill the wolf rider champ with the trancer on the flag and the rest of his army shoots stuff not being able to advance fast enough means he doesn't contest anything. So I score 2 taking it to 4-0 and we both come to the realisation that I just need to pass turn to win.
Score 4-0
Circle Turn 3 I pass turn
Score 6-0. Victory to Circle.
Thoughts Baldur's feat isn't just alpha prevention but also a great scenario tool and to be honest I didn't even think about it like that. In fairness against a shooting heavy army it's probably easier to exert that but in the liver scenarios it has that potential to have a control element. On Lukas, I think his game plan is really telegraphed so I'd say he'll be pretty easy to play around. Maybe I'm wrong but we'll see.

Had a casterdraft tournament this weekend, ended up with a very odd caster. I ended up drafting defenders ward, immolation, future sight, true sight, resourceful, +1 speed, kaelyssa's feat and sorcha's hammer frostfang.
My list was ghetorix, feral, max ravagers with ca, min bloodpack, boilmaster and spirit cauldron, ravager shaman, lotf, night witch and wolf rider champ
First round was the pit into rocket spam which is a great match up with a stealth feat combined with the fact that a ravager can one round almost his entire army. His trick was he had arcane shield and batten down the hatches which meant he had an arm27 spriggan...yeah so never bothered attacking that, just had the feral throw it around a bit. Ghetorix did manage to kill an arm23 destroyer though, thank you primal. Won the game when he thought his caster would be able to kill def 15 arm 17 ravagers with no knockdown tough. He was mistaken. Then in order to make him easier to hit I went in with my caster who killed him, forgot how good shatter is. Win by assassination.
Second round was spread the net into a slayer spam type list with double overlords and I made a mistake of putting d ward on the bloodpack cos I though hiding behind the forest would protect the ravagers. I was wrong. Killing most of the ravagers with the overlords and then jamming me with the slayers meant I wasn't able to kill enough and he ground ahead on scenario winning 10-4.
Third round was recon 2 into convergence who are crazy in this format since the caster starts off 6/6 on the mat and rat and my opponent had got +2 mat in his drafted cards so yeah. We were both being quite cagey but then on turn 3 I was able to get a wolf rider champ into the back of his caster and it left her on 5 boxes through a two camp as a throwaway play for lack of a better target. The rest of the game was me killing shield guards so that LotF could finish her off so that's how that ended. Assassination win.
So that was that the Tharn went 2-1, losing only to the winner, and once again I had a great time with caster draft. Would highly recommend the format. Also as a side note that was my 100th game for the year and considering this year I wanted to get 50 games in I'm feeling pretty happy with that achievement.

Another week another game, lets get into it
My list
Morvana2, 2 x stalker, ravagers with ca, wolf riders, bloodweavers with ca, brighid and caul, shifting stones, night witch, 2 x wolf rider champ, lotf and a ravager shaman
His List
Syvestro, vindicator, suppressor, retaliator, combat alchemists, 2 x dragons breath rocket, storm troopers, steelhead halbrediers with morely, rocketmen with ca and 2 x slug guns, gorman, ragman, hutchuk and 2 x trancers
Scenario was Mirage and I lost the roll. He decided to go first so I picked the side that protected my flanks from Hutchuk.
Terrain
There are two buildings on the flanks on my side, slightly funneling me into the middle but also protecting my flanks, and a pond in the middle. There's a patch of rubble on the left near his flag, a forest in the middle but also protecting my zone (and his flag from non-treewalkers I guess) and a forest in his zone.
His Deployment
Syvestro in the middle, rocketmen are opposite my wolf riders, storm troopers and steelheads opposite my ravagers, supressor on the right vindicator and retaliator in the middle with the solos.
My Deployment
Morv in the middle, ravagers+shaman on the left, wolf riders on the right, a champ with both of those units and a stalker on each side.
His AD
Combat alchemists in front of his steelheads and storms, trancers in front of the rocketmen
My AD
LotF on the left, shifting stones and brighid and caul in the middle and the night witch on the right
Prey goes on a trancer
CG Turn 1 He runs forward and syvestro puts transmutation goes on the rocketmen. CA do their cloud wall.
Circle Turn 1 I run forward knowing I can't really stay out of threat but put a lot of my medium bases behind the forest hoping it protects me, hunters grace goes up and catches all of them. Two wolf riders jam the rocketmen and the rest hang back. Morv puts up fog of war and censures doing 3 damage to syvestro. I forget to port my shifting stones around her. Stalkers walk, warp prowl and rile to fill Morvana
CG Turn 2 He super fuels and loads up the retaliator for a spray, Syvestro goes and feats, I didn't think he'd get in but he just gets a LoS to a ravager and Caul. Goes with the grevious wounds spray, killing the ravager and leaves Caul on a few boxes. Supressor sprays the wolf riders engaging the rocketmen and whiffs horribly. So the Rocketmen themselves go into the wolf riders and kill a couple. Dragons breath rockets finish off Caul and kill Brighid. Various other shots do some damage to my stuff but nothing else dies.
Circle Turn 2 It's annoying to lose B&C but otherwise I've weathered his feat turn pretty well. There's also nothing contesting my zone and only 2 rockets contesting my flag. I ambush the bloodweavers on the right after taking my time to decide on which side because Morely has done his super tough feat so their grevious would be very nice over there but I didn't think they'd get very far whereas on the other side they can do some nice damage to a suppressor and kill most of a dragons breath rocket. Ravagers kill some stuff with vengeance. Morv puts carnivore on a stalker who kills those two rockets and sprints away to safety. Wolf riders only kill a trancer (whose explosion killed her) and 1 rocketman but position to be annoying. The blood weavers kill 2/3 of the dragons breath and 3 of them charging into the back of a suppressor do 21 damage crippling it arms. A wolf rider champ finishes it off. Ravagers charge the retaliator and do a bunch of damage and a steelhead to clear a spot for LotF who charges an alchemist, killing him and a steelhead with that attack, he birds into a storm trooper and kills 2 storm troopers, 2 steelheads and gorman di wulfe. Not a bad activation. The other wolf rider champ goes into the back of the retaliator and finishes him off. She repos to get in Syvestros face. At this point I clock over having forgotten the shifting stones again and Morv is camping 2 with 9 boxes due to rerolls. So slightly worried but I'm in a good position.
Score 2-0 to circle
CG Turn 3 At the start of the turn he measures Syvestro's stygian abyss range and she's out. Less worried now. But he says he thinks he can get her. But proceeds to ignore her for his turn and sticks to attrition. Syvestro purifies and gets rid of carnivore and fog. He kills LotF with some steelheads. Does some damage to some ravagers but doesn't kill any thanks to good tough and healing rolls. Kills 3 of my blood weavers with a blast. Makes sure to kill my wolf rider champ in syvestros face or else he does and tries to kill the other with a trancer but misses. And then some more general chip work but by the end it's just two rocketmen contesting my flag and he couldn't get through my wall of ravagers to get into my zone or score his flag so score goes to 3-0.
Circle Turn 3 This would be a feat turn but its not necessary. Morv gives carnivore back to that stalker who warps berserk and kills the two contesting rockets.
Score 5-0 to the Devourer's Host
Thoughts I must either replace those stones or use them, however I think they're good for healing Morv so will just have to remember them. My opponent forgot Hutchuk but I don't think that mattered too much. Also think he misdeployed, he should have gone after my zone with the rocketmen instead of using them for the flag. His dice were very poor on his feat turn which didn't help. HoF is really nice on the blood weavers, haven't used them recently so will have to break them out again. Maybe with Una2...hmm...

Remember, Morley is not allowed to be named morley anymore! Since he resembled Hitler in the art, and was called Adolpheous ppl were getting the wrong idea. He is now "Alejandro Mosby" cause apparently it was not enough to change his first name XP

Read a couple of these, thanks for the battle reports. One thing I’ve noticed is that you hold your ambushers back a lot. Remember you can bring them in and run behind back lines. Often that’s a lot of pressure, can really muck up someone’s plans. If you can’t find a target to kill out of ambush by turn 3 you probably never will

So over christmas I've had a two games the first was last night with my baldur non double ravagers list against sturm and drang that ended on turn two when I had killed his road hog with some wolf riders and ravagers and lord of the feast scalpeled out wrong eye taking out snapjaw and the dracodile so we called that game.
The other was last weekend where i tried out a krueger2 devourers host list with the storm raptor against a jalaam masters of war list. This match up was interesting, I lost my stalker for nothing on the top of two but on bottom of two I got an archidon and the aradus soldier that killed my stalker. Folllowing turn he failed to kill stormy as his gladiator charged out of zaadeshs range so could only make initials and Rhadeim missed needing a four and from there I was able to clean up and win on scenario.
Sorry for the short/non-detailed reports hopefully normal service will resume shortly.
