As someone whos nearly finished collecting my current faction, i'm looking around at the next factions to collect in a month or two and one that is really tempting me is Circle.
The meta i'm in has a lot of really strong players who don't pull any punches, imagine a meta where basically everyone just plays tournament pairs / casters. (Ossrum/Gorten, Haley3/Nemo3, Vlad2AC/+?, My Dreamer grymkin, Anamag PT/+1, etc etc). Basically its not a gentle meta in the slightest.
If i had to list the things that interest me most in circle it is the Bones spell slinging like Krueger2, the alpha strike of Bradigus, Wurmwood in general, and i'm really interested in how good post CID Morvahna is.
Can Circle stand up vs a super hostile meta with PT, Ossrum and more?

Yes we can. But like any faction you need a lot of practice before you can really start seeing success.
Wurmwood, Krueger2, Bradigus, And Una2 are all amazing casters. Baldur2 and Kaya 3 are also great.
If you have lots of arm skew, Bradigus Is great. He is a brick breaker

I second what macdaddy said. I would agree that Circle can compete with any competitive list. My local meta is similar and I have had plenty of success with the faction.
I would say that right now our competitive niche is narrower than it was in Mk2, but as each CID releases we should gain that back. If you are into bones you will do excellent.
My favorite part about Circle, aside from the asthetic and play style of the faction, is our skill cap. Circle has one of the highest skill caps in the game and several casters who are only limited by your imagination (wurwmood and krueger2). I never have felt out of a game with one of those two on the table, and if worst comes to worst both have extremely dangerous non linear assassination options.
Plus, Bradigus is just a ton of fun to play. Nothing quite like beating your opponent to a pulp, with giant rock monsters who have a ton of mobility (with Brad feat).
I have played both Legion and Cryx during the last year but I am coming back to Circle full time because nothing else measures up for me in both gameplay and fun factor.
If the proposed changes for Morv2 go through she should be pretty good again. I played her a bunch in Mk2 and she was a blast. If you like re rolls she is the queen!

Just remember that right now for ADR pairings, Krueger 2 in bones of orboros and Wurmwood in Devourer's Host are probably the pairing you're going to want to run, but if you're not going for ADR points, Bradigus and Krueger 2, both in bones

Circle has very competitive options, if not a truly 'scary' list at the moment. However, if you want to play competitively at the moment, your options are Bones of Orboros, or Griffons in CoTW. There is ~80% of the faction that is currently not seeing competitive play.

I've heard some glowing statements that Krueg2 and Bradigus can handle the world though and i want me some of that geomancy action. i am hoping the Tharn CID opens up other options too that'd be awesome. I got a bit discouraged by Bump in the Night in recent days because it worked very well in my old meta but in the new meta i'm in its a waste of time. Competitive Tharn would be a great back up

Tharn as is are very close to being competitive, and from what I have seen of the proposed CID changes I would be shocked if they don't have multiple competitive builds. If you read the other thread on the CID you will find a ton of information discussing the Warpwolf changes, but in a nutshell I believe that the CID can and will fix both Dev Host and COTW. If that was the case you would have 3 really diverse options for list building.
And someday we will even see Secret Masters / The Wild Hunt get a CID

And someday we will even see Secret Masters / The Wild Hunt get a CID The only reason Devo host stopped being good was because the Meta and CiD's have power crept over the course of MK3. I remember a year ago when Kruger1 or Una2, Devo host made a great list to pair something with. Now, the stupid overly blunt, unintuitive power of: Sloan 5x5 Kraye Centurians Ossrum Double BE builds Gaspy 9 Skayers And other such spammy, skewy, buff stacky, Point click lists have pushed the more balanced lists out of the meta. The only reason I think ravagers even need a buff now, is because everyone else medium based infantry has been supercharged.

The only reason I think ravagers even need a buff now, is because everyone else medium based infantry has been supercharged. Ravagers have always needed a buff. They die too easily and don't hit hard enough. There's a reason all of the other medium based infantry coming out hits much harder and has much more survivability against ranged attrition. Ravager's niche was as a fast, anti-infantry option, but they just weren't accomplishing that job, and they also need to be able to do more. The proposed CID changes we had previewed a month ago would help them immensely.

Juris all they really needed was brutal charge. They worked in the early MK3 meta. But the Devo Host build got bullied out by the more atrocious lists.

For me they performed the same niche as every other Dev host unit (anti infantry). Brutal charge differentiates them, and the points reduction helps them be more cost effective into guns. Being PS 15 is huge vs armor and gives us an infantry dimension we don't currently have elsewhere.

DH is the most resilient army against shooting that you can field with Circle. Add a bit of accuracy and hitting power a we will be golden.
