Hi guys! Ive been playing since 2012 (trolls since 2014) but i will be checking out the Circle side of things for a while. I listened to the Meta podcast ( museonminis.com/the-meta-episode-15-2/ ) and got inspired enough to start seriously consider playing Circle. I have loved the Wold models since forever, but our resident circle player in MK2 didnt play them much, and now he is not playing at all, so my life has has a criminal lack of stone-dudes in it. Time to change that! By a fortunate coincidence i managed to get my hands on a used circle army with all my Woldly needs *snicker* at a great price. I will pick it up tomorrow and will start playing on Monday! Back in the day i used to play 100-150 games a year, but alas a new wife and child sort of limits my gaming time. Instead i try to make the most of my games by posting battle reports (though i have slacked off with that a lot lately too) but i figure that if i am to learn an entirely new faction i need to analyze the games i do play properly, and battle reports are an excellent way of doing that. So, expect some battle reports on my fumbling attempts at Krueger 2 during next week

Welcome to the dark side... where doing a simple thing require half of your army activations

Looking forward to it. eKrueger is complex, but once you figure out a few things it really opens your eyes to power of his toolkit. He's a warlock you never stop learning new plays for which is (IMO) simply awesome. Enjoy!

Ooooohhh ... I haven't been this excited since paradox made the jump to circle. Its always nice to see the more deliberate list builders, posters, and analyzers join a faction you're interested in.
Happy to have you aboard Trollock ... but who's going to carry the troll torch now?

Happy to have you aboard Trollock ... but who's going to carry the troll torch now? Id say i havent really been carrying that torch for at least a year... Coincidentally, my kid will turn 1 year old fairly soon...
Now there are a lot of players who are actually good who play the faction. Trolls have had some tournament success and there are a lot of properly competitive players working on them. You dont have to rely on my amateurish rambling as you did for the first year of MK3

My daughter just started potty training and I'm expecting a son in 4 months ... I feel your gaming pain. Its not that I rely on the rambling I just very much enjoy the conversation it begets

Welcome Trollock Krueger 2 is a blast to play, what lists did you have in mind for him? He can get pretty cookie cutter so I wanted to see what your first impressions were without any games.

Very cool! I'll be happy to see your positive attitude and creativity applied to circle. You should definetively also start looking into other themes.

Welcome Trollock Krueger 2 is a blast to play, what lists did you have in mind for him? He can get pretty cookie cutter so I wanted to see what your first impressions were without any games. Im gonna steal Tomas' (spelling?) list he talked about on the Meta podcast to start with. no use me trying to optimize it before having played circle at all.
conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0p4a4QjFjF4H4Hg4g45gfI5e5e5fi7Circle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Bones of Orboros [Krueger 2] Krueger the Stormlord [+27] - Megalith [20] - Woldwarden [14] - Woldwarden [14] - Woldwyrd [9] - Woldwyrd [9] Blackclad Stoneshaper [0(3)] Blackclad Stoneshaper [0(3)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Bog Trog Mist Speaker [4] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Sentry Stone & Mannikins [5] Shifting Stones [3] Celestial Fulcrum [19]
My initial impressions are that lots of geomancy sounds like fun, but that the list looks like it is lacking punch something fierce. i guess that control will have to make up for it, and he pairs it with Bradigus, who can crack ARM way better. Ill just drop this in to everything for like 10 games and see what happens first though

Trollock You would be surprised how much work megs can do with a free charge and enrage. You would also be surprised how darn hard the wyrd/fulcrum boat hits at range. It may not be trolls level power, but it can kill hard targets when focused down. Basically that's exactly what I run, but I take 2 Gallows Groves over the Mist speaker as a preference thing.

I think he has the mist speaker in there as a match up fixer. It is something i may tweak when i start to develop a pairing im sure

I play without speaker and fulcrum for a guardian+eilish+gallows... Is matter of meta and pairing
