I saw the most beautiful converted/painted Harbinger model for sale and bought it last weekend. I can't wait until it arrives and have spent my time thinking of different lists with her.
After the CID change that have been proposed, how is she doing? Have they brought her up to par enough?
What themes are you running her in? She feels like she's pretty flexible on that front.

She is very good in FM. In current CID with Bastions and Hierophant + 12 cmd and 28 jack points

EI and bastions is interesting attrition variant, but I think FM is best home for Harby. Wall is good and FM has all the solos Harby want as well as good infantry (Idrians). correlion's list looks quite solid, but I would add second Monks to it, cos Harby makes them shine.

She didn't need "bringing up to par". She's been very good, especially recently, in Faithful Masses. In Cid she's just have been made even better.
I was quite surprised that she even appeared in Cid(!?) and received buffs (!?!?!), when we have casters like Reznik1, Tristan2 or Feora2...

She is rediculously strong.
The 12” command is gonna be...rough for anyone facing her.

Since this topic is here, I'll ask:
How does Martyrdom work on a mounted Champion? Cab you prevent him from being dismounted?

Nor I assume, does her martyrdom of him when he is finally disabled bring him back to mounted. But yeah, I was fairly surprised that she was included in CID over some of the other, weaker casters. I guess maybe they felt she was significantly iconic that they wanted her played more? I dunno. Not going to complain about her possibly getting buffed, but would have rather seen some others of course.

They would have chosen her for the same reason they chose malakov2 in khador over weaker casters like butcher2: she fits better into the theme force that they are trying to get tested.

I think that the changes to medium bases are going to help Tristan2. Feora2 and Reznik1 on the other hand...

Not really. Cinerators will appreciate Hand of the Creator, but Bastions will die like chumps before it's super relevant. And Tristan2 does so little else for his infantry.
Tristan is, in my opinion, a very good caster in the wrong faction. He wants ranged jacks with solid shot non-Inaccurate guns. Preferably with range 12. We have some of this, but it's on expensive heavies. He needs a cheaper option. His problem as I see it is that he is one or two releases away from being a seriously good 'caster.

Funnily, the maligned Girded on Paladins is a part of her success in FM, as she can sit all game in one place - behind the wall, b2b with Devout and Vilmon and resistant to spells and blasts with 2 Shield Guards. Without Girded firing AoEs into her Devout would be a serious threat to her.

*points to the cheepo vigilant* girded issue solved x.O; but yeah, she is doing GREAT in faithful masses with a paladin crew. being able to roll tough before martyring is awesome. Using the battle engine to heal her back up after doing so is also a godsend. because of the lack of massive AoEs in now-a-day lists, martyrdom + monk = contested zone all day
