I remember Jason Soles commenting on the broad, cross-game drop in infantry hit boxes (from 10 at the high end) as we moved into Mk III, saying MoW were still at the top of the trooper spectrum. Earlier versions were different games, with less balance - I understand - but I don't recall MoW ever being too survivable. I can only guess there was play testing at various HP as the game has evolved. A little historical references from Mk I and MkII (proving to myself I'm not crazy)... Actually in mkii that model only had 8 boxes o ly in mki did they increase. Nice misdirection on that. The mkii cards you shown were actually from the test play transition between mki and mkii. And the kovnic is a fake card as it actually came out durring the time mkii was in full swing in 2014.

I would like MOW, especially the non-shock versions, to be more survivable. PP has struggled with this issue for a while. MOW are supposed to be the top of the medium based infantry curve--it's Khador's thing but in practice it hasn't worked out that way. Starting this edition MOW were supposed to be the only general issue infantry with 8 boxes. Now gaters all have 8 boxes in-theme plus a passle of random models accross several factions too. This may be just me but I think CG's storm troopers got it exactly right between carapace and a slightly higher defense. I would love for MOW to get more boxes but I don't think it will happen. Demolition korps with 10 boxes would probably be fine. Shock troopers with 10 boxes would probably be too much. More importantly, I'd probably not want to use the unit after PP raised the points cost accordingly.

MoW Kovnik is one of the super oldest models, it came out near the very start of Mk1... And yes, in Mk2 they all had 8 boxes in the offical release.

I'm not sure what's up with the obvious trolling coming from onijet. Testing cards and fakes? lol It's not hard to verify. More to the point, it looks like, per the poll, most of this Khador community is good with the eight boxes. That's what I was curious about.
