The alternate history version of Stryker is up in warroom, and he's a Steelhead. Pretty much all defensive buffs. What do you all think?
I wish he had a damage buff for either ranged of melee infantry, but overall I think he could be solid.

Boring, mostly a copy and paste of rules/card form Cygnar and not a fan of steelhead riflemen. I guess some of the spell alterations and no sleeping on the job means you can run an armor skew with a lot of tough. Would be more interested if they were official rules. One of my local TOs loves these quirky events for steamrollers so I'll probably have to use him for a day.
Maybe my cynicism is showing a bit more than normal today, but would have enjoyed one of the more original casters/cards.

We are talking about rules release by PP in warroom after all.

"While these alternate models are not tournament legal and are intended only for casual games, we still want to give them a bright spotlight after all these years" from the Insider, if you didn't read it. Also, no models for these will be released so that is another way you could describe it if you must.

Since these are official rules released by PP, but you are correct that they are not tournament legal and you will need to use the existing models.

Technically, you'd need to use conversions or proxies as they are denoted with [Name]-1 so the [Name]1 models are different. Nit-picking, but for the amazing conversion gurus we have on this forum, this is a great opportunity for them and I'm curious what they will make.

There could be some really good looking conversions come out of this. For my part I'm seriously considering getting a Styker1, painting him in Steelhead colors, and running it against my Cygnaran roommate.

Little disappointing he can only be taken in The Irregulars, but the flank bonus might make put for his lack of a damage buff.

Wow, they really captured the boredom and “I don’t care” feeling of the original Stryker...
I feel this version should have a bit of a renegade swagger more like Caine. As is he steps on the toes of damiano too much

As is he steps on the toes of damiano too much I see Damiano wanting to run more of a ranged army. Where this Stryker wants a melee army.

It's weird he isn't in Kingmakers, and he'd make sense in Laelese Resistance, where I want him. I mean he IS a Steelhead model, so RAW he is allowed in Kingmakers, and Conflict Chamber allows it. Warroom does not sadly.
