@streetpizzah thats the funny thing, I ran this (in the final incarnation anyway):
(Kromac 1) Kromac the Ravenous [+26]
- Gorax Rager [7]
- Warpwolf Stalker [19]
- Warpwolf Stalker [19]
- Wild Argus [7]
- Woldwyrd [9]
- Woldwyrd [9]
Feralgeist [2]
Shifting Stones [3]
Warpborn Skinwalkers (max) [15]
- Warpborn Skinwalker Alpha [0(4)]
Wolves of Orboros (min) [7]
- Wolves of Orboros Chieftain & Standard [4]
So pathfinder was universal except for the Gorax. My biggest issues were:
1: Wolves ambushing and dying horribly (I tried running a max unit at first but it was just not worth it opponents would focus them down the turn they came in and back away from my BG.
2: In lists with little infantry Threat ranges were a big issue. Stalkers could get to 14" threat with warpath but triggering it became risky and clunky even with woldwyrds (and a pure-blood in early iterations) No part of that was meta. Lots of heavier bricks, trolls, jack/beast bricks and such really were not good match ups. But it was also something I knew would be an issue if I ever went to an event with the list.
3: Skinwalkers sucked. Literally even with IR died to boosted Hand cannon shots every game. They would jam and die slightly slower than other things but felt like a necessary dead-weight in the list. (needed them for contesting but barely fulfilled that roll.
4: tracker just was not relevant in about half my games. Oh look a forest...way over there. A house in the center of the table...darn. Its so dumb to have a theme benefit that may or may not be relevant at all.
Anyway, I agree about your caster suggestions. Though I do think Mohsar can run a nasty assassination list whit wild hunt, sands of fate, and ambushing wolves/war wolf solos, and tracker pure-blood sprays. Storm rager is idiotic on grayle, because we have literally 2 or 3 combat solos in the faction that are worth casting it on...
It does...when that ambushing unit doesn't die to a random drifting AOE. Literally every game I played wolves come in, lose some on turn they come in (or all) and then die the second turn. Too darn easy to kill and Pow 9 weapon-master is cute, but nothing exceptional. Like I said, the main thing is boxing them in for the BG to take advantage of. But I could accomplish the same thing with Bog trog ambushes in literally any other theme and get better benefits.
Dont hold your breath...I doubt we will get a wild hunt or Secret masters CiD for at least another year or 2.
