Hello brothers! As a long time Menite but first-time advocate, i'm hoping to use the following tools of judgement in order to bring retribution upon those who would dare to attack our holy cities!
Protectorate Army - 75 / 75 points
(Vindictus 1) Vice Scrutator Vindictus [+29] - Sanctifier [14] - Sanctifier [14] - Sanctifier [14] - Sanctifier [14] Exemplar Cinerators (max) [16] Holy Zealots (max) [13] - Monolith Bearer [3] Holy Zealots (max) [13] - Monolith Bearer [3]
So how's this for a first try? Do I need more Heavy Hitters? This is meant to be a themed army, not anywhere near tournament ready.

hmm no book, no choir? How are you suppose to preach the faith to the faithless without the church?

It would behoove you to drop 1 module for support, especially choir, but otherwise looks fun!

Multiple Sanctifiers seems a bad idea, they are pillow fisted to start, and in this case will be competing for souls...
Whilst a very fluffy list, I do not think it is going to win many games. Lack of choir, reliable shooting, no real melee ability, and no weapon masters with vindi???
I feel vindi is not the caster you want double zealots with either. Malekus would be better for his feat turn.

How's this as an improvement?

Put it to table a few times and see how it goes! Forum advice can only get you so far.

like someone saying vindictus doesn't approve of an additional unit of zealots *slaps forehead* If Vindictus dies he auto rezes for the cost of 1 zealot. You could practically run him into the middle of a focus fire and let him die 9 times and you could still have a zealot left to resurrect him. It'd be a pain in the butt for someone who didn't have AoEs. All you need is Gravus1 (character solo) to keep him on his feet. The exemplar Cinerators have continuous fire on their swords, an auto whenever they hit, which will allow you to take down medium infantry. The Knights should do a good job of tearing things apart if you leave a sanctifier up front to take the bulk of the first turn attacks. REMEMBER, you do not need to turn the souls into focus, thus you can save them for if you are disrupted or cannot receive focus for some reason and then cash them in. As long as they are soul tokens they cannot be dropped unless you are hit by something that takes away, specifically, soul tokens.

Grabus only gives exemplars no kd to my knowledge.

woopsies, you are correct Swampmist. I was working on an all exemplar list and completely forgot x.x; I'm not sure if Vindi can use the rez ability once he's KD or not. All I know is that it's not limited to once per round, just once per sacrificial pawn within a 5 inch range.

The main issue is that, if I'm not mistaken, sac pawn doesn't work against melee. More-over though, I'm not sure how I feel about going 2 max units of them with him, just because he doesn't have anyway to fix their rat :/

Step 1: Pray for Fire:Immunity Step 2: Walk half the unit into AOE range. Step 3: RAT 6 . And Vindictus has Call To Sacrifice, not Sac Pawn.

Right, Right. So can use it in melee, but super weak to Grevious wounds (alten ashley says hi.)
Also, the bombs really want the +2 damage, especially if you are only getting blast damage. If the bombs had auto:fire, sure, but if I'm not mistaken it's crit fire (if anything at all.)

yeah, it only works when he's "disabled" not removed from play.
As for the bombs, they are there to shield and revive Vindictus, not to deal damage x.x; It'd still be funny if they could do a suicide bomber run though, have them run into the enemy and combust like the wracks do; it'd just be so freak'n hilarious.

Do you really want 26 points of infantry that do nothing? I'd rather a min unit with UA and another unit of KE with ua if they are meant to do nothing but protect him :/
