Thanks for the article!
I have plated the list multiple times, and have not quite gotten the hang of it. The thing that irks me the most is that on the first big alpha turn i ususlly have to activate kaya first to switch to synergy, and that means no soothing song. I then do some good work, but the next turn there will be frenzies, and my opponent get some breathing room and a chance to recover.
Any tips for how to avoid this? I mean, yes, i could just not cast Fog in the first place, but that doesnt sound excellent either...

Thanks for the episode!
I must say im inspired but not convinced. It probably is true that SM works better in practice than on paper and that it rewards skill which is great. Seems to me that it is basically just a diferent flavor of krueger 2 though, and nothing else remotely good, but id LOVE to be proven wrong on that one.
Lets wish list a bit! If WW were allowed to play in the theme, would it be good? Looks legit to me...

Thinking more about it... Why? Just for the sac pawn for cassius? Other than that it is almost like playing non-theme, right?

I think Jaden is being hyperbolic re: best list in the faction, but access to geomancers and living models/units does synergize very well with what wurmwood wants to do (and he's one of like...two casters I would consider druids with), and everything Wurmwood brings is faction-agnostic, so he doesn't mind having to bring a bunch of minions. He would definitely be one of the best casters to run SM if he could play it, and I strongly suspect we'd seem WW SM/Iona devhost as the default Champions pairing if this was an option. Considering that the biggest shortcoming of WW Bones is a lack of souls, and the biggest issue with WW DevHost is the lack of geomancers, I can see how having access to both in one list (even lacking the other advantages of those theme) could be very strong.

Nono, i get all of that, but you can already do all those things by playing out of theme. Then SM would add theme bonuses in the form of sac pawn for cassius and a free crappy solo or two. My question is basically if those two benefits takes the list from "no one plays it" (as no one playes out of theme) to " this list is very strong"? The difference from a non theme list seems faily small...

So the main thing is that you really need those free crappy solos in the SR 2018 environment. Sac Pawn on Cassius is also huge since you can basically always keep him safe from melee but people can reach out and gun him down. I played a LOT of weird miniony Wurmwood in early mark 3 and I think it was my favorite list I've played. If I could put him in secret masters it'd look something like this: conflictchamber.com/#c8201b_-0McG4MjF4H4Hg45gjSjSjR0U0OfljDjOCircle Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Secret Masters [Morvahna 2] Morvahna the Dawnshadow [+27] (AKA WURMWOOD) - Pureblood Warpwolf [17] - Woldwarden [14] - Woldwyrd [9] - Woldwyrd [9] Blackclad Stoneshaper [0(3)] Blackclad Wayfarer [0(4)] Gatorman Husk [3] Gatorman Husk [3] Longchops [5] Farrow Bone Grinders (min) [5] Farrow Brigands (max) [15] - Farrow Brigand Warlord [4] Farrow Valkyries [8] Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers [10]

I know its just wish listing, but still

So..here's the thing about the way I play wurmwood - every turn I'm looking to see if I can double hellmouth your caster and shoot them to death. Shamblers are SUPER important for that, and bonegrinders are awesome for range 10 hellmouths and 12 strangleholds.
I've played very nearly identical lists to this to good success at cons in the past, and I almost played it again this last year at wmw out of theme even.
