They're finally up in warroom. Shall we begin debating which caster is the best for running blighted trolls?

I’m torn between Asphyxious1 & Agathia. Parasite seems essential for Slaughter Fleet since without it the Theme is extremely pillowfisted. Asphyxious1 fixes Armor hard and brings additional clouds to go with all the cloud models available to the theme. Agathia on the other hand brings mass Stealth & fixes the problem of the theme’s complete lack of ability to ignore terrain outside Jussika & what’s probably the most underwhelming unit in the Theme, Sharde Pirates. Asphyxious1 can bring Saxon to help fix the terrain issues, Agathia can bring Ragman to swing armor as hard as Asphyxious1. Personally, I’ve been leaning more towards Agathia.

I think Venethrax might have game with them. You just have to rely on jacks for dealing with other jacks.
Scaverous also fixes a lot of their problems and their a good target for Soul Harvester.
Deneghra1 is also a good choice, but that probably goes without saying.

Skarre3 with a Kraken seems really good to me.
The shard seers can give it magical+Eyeless sight, Ogrun give it curse and can repair it, it is hyper-accurate with guided fire, and can achieve a very respectable POW 23 melee P+S without any corpses.
Let the bloodgorgers be a solid first wave, and clean up with flailing tentacular goodness.
Just for sh1ts and giggles, Skarre also has shadow fire on her cannons, and deceleration helps everyone meet the battle relatively healthy.
She really seems incredibly well-suited to slaughter fleet, possibly even better than to scourge.

As they had three problems before and CID fixed one of them (accuracy bring them to MAT 7), then I would want something to help them hit harder and/or move faster. I was actually considering Dead Sturgis as he threat extends with his feat and he has access to armor debuffs with his own parasite and chain attack. But really, anyone that can make them faster and/or help them hit harder is going to get alot of work down with them.

I have been looking at Skarre1 actually. Fixes pillow fistness and stalkers with gang and feat are effective pow 19. In addition thrown weapons benefit from the feat.

Kharybdis seems like a good choice for Slaughter Fleet. That 4” reach is really nice for getting gang fighter. Same idea of coualso applies to the colossals.
Along the same lines of thought we've got the Inflictor and Reaper. It might be kinda funny to build a list around using drag to get the assassination.

I also like the look of Guided Fire on Kharybdis’ Blank Ink spray with crit blind. I think Kharybdis will be great with Skarre3.

POW 25 if you include Ragman Kharybdis seems like a good choice for Slaughter Fleet. That 4” reach is really nice for getting gang fighter. Same idea of coualso applies to the colossals. I think the problem there is that it's hard to squeeze in a colossal, 40 points of infantry, some support and then somehow fit Kharybdis. I made a Skarre 2 list that I liked, but after you take everything you want/need, it only leaves 15 points to flesh out her battlegroup (after Kraken and Deathripper)

I was just pointing out what models meshed well with the theme. If I take a colossal in that list, it's probably going to be the only jack I take.

Going to try goreshade1 in this theme. Gang fighter + shadowmancer means our heavies are hitting at POW 20+ As not being a huge base goreshade can hide behind smog belchers cloud wall His feat also has unexpected synergy with theme benefit providing warrior models for gang fighter on demand

Maybe something like the below. Use Trolls and Ogrun to deal with units, and jacks and drudges to deal with hard targets. War Room Army Cryx - Goreshade1 Slaughter Fleet Theme: Slaughter Fleet Raiders 2 / 2 Free Cards 74 / 75 Army Goreshade the Bastard - WJ: +27 - Deathwalker - Satyxis Blood Priestess - PC: 4 - Kharybdis - PC: 17 (Battlegroup Points Used: 17) - Slayer - PC: 10 (Battlegroup Points Used: 10) - Slayer - PC: 10 - Seether - PC: 13 General Gerlak Slaughterborn - PC: 0 Axiara Wraithblade - PC: 0 Black Ogrun Smog Belchers - Leader & 4 Grunts: 15 Bloodgorgers - Leader & 9 Grunts: 15 - Jussika Bloodtongue - PC: 5 Cephalyx Mind Slaver & Drudges - Slaver & 9 Drudge Grunts: 12

You actually don't need that much units for him, our jacks hit ok with Dark Shroud and he always has his feat (and perhaps Aiakos/Overlords) for when you really need to trigger Gang Fighter. Through Shadowmancer, you also don't even need the cloud wall. (most things that ignore Stealth also ignore clouds)
