I do find that surprising, I would have thought not being screwed around with by spells and non-magic shooting would be a pretty big selling point. That plus having blessed and magical weapons, plus a native mat 7, and a anti-spell bubble, and a shield! That's what what got me to proxy it. Its only real weaknesses are SPD 4 and 1" reach. The fact that the aura also stops Animi is fun as well. edit: I don't give it too long before someone claims that it's over costed by a clear two points because the Crusader is over costed by a point and the abilities don't add up to enough to make an Indictor worth six points more than what a Crusader should cost. I don't think soulblighter followed us here, and it was only him making that argument. I don't think grey Templar likes them either, but for him it's more of a threat range issue IIRC.

indictors are BIG targets that, against armies like Cygnar, cannot get close enough to put in max usage. Everyone sees that sword and immediately turn their guns his way x.x; We use choir to put up our anti-shootie shields on our jacks so it just gets doubled over. He is our answer to arc nodes though. It's hilarious watching people have to keep backing up their arc nodes over and over again to make sure they aren't in range. Taking a free strike from him is never an option with the P+S of that sword.

Okay, Haley2 vs Sevy2. We were playing The Pit and fortunately I get first turn!!! Haley2, squire, stormwall, stormclad, thorn, journeyman with a firefly, strangeways and max stormlances. (Storm division) Sevy2,2 reckoners, 2 templars, redeemer, blessing, max choir, rhoven, 2 vassals and a hierophant. (Creator's Might)
1) We both move up. 2)- He has put arcane shield on the lances and the wall is in range of both reckoners, redeemer and blessing. A few hot dice cripple the complete left and leave the right on 10 boxes (!). Templar with arcane shield in the zone as well. - Haley2 TK's both reckoners around, the redeemer and the blessing around and towards the wall and feats. The wall needed to charge nonetheless and leaves only movement and the arcnode intact, so I count myself a bit lucky here (?). Nohting of note to happen further. (0-1) 3)- I reposition, put 2 hex blasts into the wall, leaving it on 1, sigh... This means I cannot get another hexblast on the stormlances (arcane shield), so no feat for me. I still have 2 templars with a focus and enliven in the zone together with the almost dead blessing. I left the templar a bit too far from my own flag (although he could remove it with the stormclad we figured. Long story short, I cannot contest Haley2 on her feat turn (0-2), she then in her turn 3 goes to (0-3) and potentialy (0-4) on my flag. And in my turn 4 I would be so jammed I couldn't get to her flag (0-5). If my own flag would be contested on turn 3, the scenario would be the same. I cannot contest on her feat turn, and am jammed the following turn, meaning she goes to (0-5) on her own turn instead of mine and just called it a game.
From this point on (there have been several test runs with sevy2) I consider our hierarch a no go into a cygnar pairing with Haley2.
Suggestions?

So what if they 'turn their guns your way' you have Passage, how do they have enough high power magical shooting to take them out?

I think it's Caine, he can make all of your ranged attacks deal magical damage. You also have combines and others. It's basically a nickel and dime death that usually takes 2 turns, which is still enough time to kill him before he completely nulls the field. Remember, doing 2 damage by combining 2 trooper models still ends up as 10 damage. Use 2 full units and now he's got 20 damage and the effects of all his downed systems to boot.

Yeah ok Caine 1s warjacks can shoot you, he is not that popular a caster though, also how are you getting multiple units ranged magic weapons in Cygnar?

. We were playing The Pit and fortunately I get first turn!!! Thanks for the report! Although I wouldn't call going first in the Pit "fortunately" ...it's a rather unfortunate event IMO that means defeat 9 times out of 10 (and that's why I think the Pit is a really bad scenario)

This was a point of discussion as well. If I go second, Haley2 will still be on her flag on turn 2 and has more time to occupy table space which would put me on a much more severe disadvantage.
