Not to disagree with you entirely, because I, too, wanted a Nyss theme, but with the impending change to Immunity, and how that's going to be messing up with the spray-to-unjam interaction I thought was one of the coolest things about them, I'm not too surprised there won't be a CID for Nyss... :/ I just listened to Advance Maneuvers podcast and they too talked about the pending immunity changes. Frankly this has me worried. This could be very bad for a lot of faction warrior models. Which in turn creates more power for CG. Hopefully they don't get too stupid with trying to push this cash cow to the levels of all CG everywhere... Oh shit, I didn't realize people listened! TBH, Idk that it matters in the slightest for Ret? It only comes up for the Priest of Nyssor with Nyss units, which is an incredibly corner-case interaction to begin with. And of all the elemental types, cold seems to be the least common after Fire, Electricty, and Corrosion?

The only really meaningful thing is stuff that says "affect models that aren't immune to cold", which so far none of the changes have affected. Things like stationary causing feats or spells or abilities, for example.

while Ret may not be the faction most affected by the Immunity changes, I think it still benefits. In my particular case, my most common opponent plays Menoth; it will be nice to be able to consider the Phoenix's Halo Cannon gun and Combustion special attack as options for clearing out his fire-immune models, for example.

Yes Gastone we are listening and watching....always... My immunity comment was mainly a concern about changing core rules as a whole and not just for Ret. Point allocation for models will need adjusted because immunity is not as "true" as when it was made. Other threads have mentioned an update to the CID of immunity, but I have not read about it myself.

+4 Arm instead of minus 1D6. That is reassuring. I like that change more, but it shouldn't be called immunity though. Semantics I know, but it's just weird ok?

Vyre electromancers I wasn't implying there weren't other models I could use, or that the Phoenix was the only model affected by the change; simply that in my case, and with the models I own, the Phoenix will find a lot more use against my friend's fire-immune stuff than it currently does.

I'll miss spraying down whatever people tried to jam the Ryssovass with during Rahn's Feat turn, but that's more due to not getting to do it enough due to limited playtime than it being amazing. As for Retribution itself I think the increase in Partisan models has been a good boon to help some shore up some of the Theme Forces and I'd like to see more of that. As for what we're missing I'd argue for a light cavalry option (Mage Hunter seems the most apropos) and something akin to Rangers, since our guns tend to be strangely inaccurate given how much we pay for them and it's not like Retribution can't have Mark the Target since Hemera exists. I would also like to see a hard ask warcaster beyond just Rahn's "Can you live?" question or Helynna's "Can you crack all this armor?"
What if Gyrrshyld 4 picked up Martyrdom instead of resurrecting models? That wouldn't be a bad ask and still suffers from the usual answer of RFP.
