So I have a tournament coming up in a month, and I'm trying to settle on a good pair of lists, so that I can get everything painted/ordered if needed in time.
The first list, I'm fairly set on, though suggestions for tweaks would be appreciated.
Dark Menagerie Dreamer - +28 Skin & Moans x3 Cage Rager x1 Rattler x1 Crabbit x2 (free from theme benefits) Death Knell x1 Gremlin Swarm x3 (two free) Karianna Rose x1 Glimmer Imp x1 max Dread Rots x1
The other option I've been playing around with is dropping the Dread Rots to minimum (less bodies, but I can grab bodies from enemies) and adding a second Rattler (the last Swarm becomes free when Rattler added, making the points work out).
As for my second list, I'm fairly confident I want to run Old Witch3 in Bump. The current list I'm considering is
Bump in the Night Old Witch 3 +27 Crabbit x2 Skin & Moans x1 Rattler x1 max Dread Rots x2 max Hollowmen + UA x2 max Neigh Slayers x1 Twilight Sisters x1 Lord Longfellow x1 Cask Imp x3 (so six total)
That said, I'm not super-confident in my ability to use either list, and find myself really wanting to take Mad Caps in Old Witch just cause they are hilarious.
Anyways, any advice is welcome. If there are any changes you would like to make, assume I have full field allowance of the entire faction (except Frightmares. I'm max'd out at 2 available right now), as I either have it, or can get it in the next month.
Your idea of dropping the Rots to a minimum in the first list is great. This creates four heavies and two lights that CHEW through single wound infantry (even multi-box,) with Manifest destiny. Screen them with your heavies on the approach and profit. I dont think you need a Glimmer imp in there cuz all he does is what Manifest destiny does in the first place. Id suggest maybe fitting in a fourth swarm.
As for OW3, If you wanna keep close to that list, imps are cool and annoying but ids say just use those units and since you'll get 3 free things use it on Long Fellow, Witchwood, & one of the UA.
