Anyone else play this?
I've built up a decent collection of Neverborn stuff (and have a Guild army as well). My local opponents play Gremlins, Ressurectionist, or Arcanists, so a pretty good mix around here.
I've played maybe three games in the past four months, but it's a great game- the rules for generating win conditions create a unique play experience, and the rules for gameplay are pretty awesome (using cards instead of dice, if you're unfamiliar).
So yeah, anyone else play this?

I like Malifaux pretty well. I have a good bit of Resurrectionists, with some Ten Thunders, Guild, and Arcanists scattered in. I've always struggled with faction commitment.
I've been following it and collecting for a couple years, but haven't gotten all that many games in. I recently moved to a new area where I've yet to find a gaming group, and there was very little interest at my previous shop.

Used to play a bit of Ten Thunders, but could never really handle the schemes...
Fun game, even though I sucked at it! Misaki was a solid master, though crow fishing was a pain!

Oh no! I'm lucky that I live in an area (near Baltimore, MD) where there are several players, but not having opponents would suck . I have debated putting together a Misaki crew several times- she looks like she'd be a blast to throw on the table, but I still have a lot of Neverborn people to try out!

I bought the Hired Guns box when it was on sale and want to get Hannah and the Hodgepodge Emissary. I have only played a couple demos, but I will eventually get into this game more heavily. The Korps seem good and interesting so I want to stick with a central theme before I branch out to other stuff.

I played a few games with a friend's gang (Neverborn) and while I liked the system, none of the available gangs caught my attention enough to start.
I ended up going for Arena Rex instead.

Chose Outcasts, because it's exactly the "mercenaries" I wanted, but never had in WM/H. Also, they have an extreme diversity of models/abilities, so I am not bound to something. Currently have Freicorpse and Plague with accessories (brotherhood of rat, lazarus, stuff), if I successfully finish painting it all, gonna expand on Tara and Parker Barrows.
A bit difficult to paint though - after years and years of painting PoM I found myself unpleasantly challenged by such different stuff.
Took a lot of effort to start understanding the system, especially the by-playing-card calculations, but once I did - it's extremely fun.

One of my opponents own all the Plague/Rat stuff, but has yet to put it on the table. Have you tried using Hamelin and all of that stuff in M2E? What did you think?

As far as I know, Hamelin is an S tier master currently, with extreme diversity of choices in troops and upgrades, scheme running, activation scamming, endless rat recycling and a ton of dirty tricks. I heard many people who play against him consider him a serious NPE, like Haley2 or Bradigus in MK2. But he requires high skill and understanding of game mechanics and battleplan.

Oh man. Sounds like he's the same amount of fun to play against as he was in Malifaux 1st edition . Well, I think the first couple of games will be alright then, as the player who will likely run him isn't SUPER proficient in the game... but after a bit of practice... sigh.

How big are the armies in this game? Our LGS bought a ton of the stuff for a Halloween painting contest we had back in the fall and a lot of it is still sitting there.

Between seven and ten models. Usually one of the Master boxes and just 3-4 models on top of that.

I should also mention, for those who haven't seen this before, someone did a great series on buying/building an army on a budget. For instance, here's the one for Neverborn: schemesandstones.wordpress.com/2016/08/21/building-on-a-budget-neverborn/Going with that Lilith + Lynch pairing (96$ MSRP), I have played both of those lists, and both have played very nicely against experience opponents. It's a great place to learn some basic list construction + tactics for the crew- wonderful for new players.

I actually have a ten thunders box somewhere that I bought a while back to practice skin tones. I could probably just put that together and get learning!
