The initial rules for Rocketmen have been spoiled, they can come with a Captain and Weapon Attachments.
With Quicken from Ashlynn they could be insanely fast and hard to hit, especially when combined with the mini-feat

The Captain's carbines are Mount weapons? Is that a typo (I assume it's supposed to be a gun, like the unit?)

I feel like the Gunner Attachment isn't all that hot. Sure, it hits a little harder than the rest of the unit, but it's not a big boost. Am I going to pay two points for this unit to do that? I dunno.

I dunno. yeah I am inclined to agree, if you are playing them as a skirmishing unit in the early turns just shooting Carbines, the slug guns are only RNG 4", so won't pull their weight until you commit them to melee pretty much.

An 11-man unit with AOEs? I guess that could eat up some clock time? At least that's what comes up everytime anyone suggests making Assault Kommando AOEs scatter instead of disappear when you miss.

I'm excited for them either way. They seem wacky and fast with lots of options for how to play them. I was kinda hoping they would have Jump or some other ability to let them get behind your opponent's front lines without taking free strikes.

Let's make goat walk a real spell. What would it do? Gives them *Jump. Love it. "Target friendly faction model/unit gains pathfinder. During an affected model's activation, that model can be placed completely within 5" after making a full advance as its normal movement. At the end of an affected model's activation, that model bleats at the nearest enemy model, causing it to chuckle softly. Goat Walk lasts for one round."
