I have a tournament coming up where I'll be playing these Circle lists:
Krueger2 -Megalith -Woldwarden -Woldwarden -Woldwyrd -Woldwyrd Sentry Stone & Mannikins Sentry Stone & Mannikins Shifting Stones Blackclad Wayfarer Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Mist Speaker Celestial Fulcrum 75
Baldur2 -Woldwrath -Megalith -Wold Guardian -Woldwarden Sentry Stone & Mannikins Sentry Stone & Mannikins Shifting Stones Shifting Stones Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Gallows Grove 75
Playing Baldur2 instead of Bradigus because of model constraints. It's a tournament where the players are divided into groups of 4 which play round robin, and then after that are sorted out into different groups on day 2 based on win/loss. The 3 players in my pairing are playing:
Haley3 & Siege2 both in Gravediggers Harbinger in Faithful Masses & High Reclaimer (with a Revelator!?) in Exemplar Interdiction Kolgrimma in Power of Dhunia & Madrak1 in Storm of the North (with only 5 Champs, double Bears though)
I'm excited to see how it goes. I will obviously report back here.

Thanks for these reports, very interesting to read. It helps getting back in the game, ill probably run something very similar to these two lists starting out.

So in light of Nemo3 nerfs, post my tournament y'all can expect some shakeups in my pairing. Dunno what yet, but I'm thinking Wurmwood & Brad or maybe even some Baldur2 & Brad. Just to shake things up.

You're dropping Krueger2? Of course not. Just something different for a bit of a change of pace. At the tournament i mentioned presently. 3-0 and into day 2. Worrisome undefeateds are 2 Harbingers, a Haley3 diggers and Xerxis2 with a billion drakes and turtles. Photographed my games. So can write it up next week.

Iiiiiiiiiit's report time! From an actual tournament, no less. I have quite a lot of reports to get through, so lets get cracking! I brought the following lists: Krueger2 -Megalith -Woldwarden -Woldwarden -Woldwyrd -Woldwyrd Sentry Stone & Mannikins Sentry Stone & Mannikins Shifting Stones Blackclad Wayfarer Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Bog Trog Mistspeaker 75 Baldur2 -Woldwrath -Megalith -Wold Guardian -Woldwarden Sentry Stone & Mannikins Sentry Stone & Mannikins Shifting Stones Shifting Stones Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Blackclad Stoneshaper Gallows Grove 75 Not the second list I wanted to play, but due to model restrictions it's what I had! There was a redraw at the event due to a surprise drop, so my first round opponent was a Legion player playing Abby1 & Abby2. Fairly easy Krueger drop, didn't fancy Baldur2 into a Naga and there was a Minions player in my group I felt comfortable dropping Baldur into. I lost the roll for first and my opponent took second, which I didn't mind. I don't have a particular favourite with Krueger2, I think he's good regardless of the first turn roll. We deployed! In my turn one I mostly just belted up the table, staying out of the assault threats of the Carniveans, and taking the middle of the board by virtue of abusing that house. My plan was to hide behind it until my opponent got bored of being shot and came to play and then just crush his toys in melee. With no Seraph in the list TK should be absolutely crippling so we will see. My opponent went hard for his own zone, which seemed reasonable considering he had gone second but I had a Sentry Stone in an absolutely hellish position behind an Obstruction there, so wasn't too worried about contesting. Otherwise he ran up his models, hiding the wasps somewhat behind the house and putting the Carnivean on the hill. Well, time to start shooting. Megalith advanced to within 7" of the Carnivean on the hill and put a boosted TK into him, then cast Undergrowth to give him another -2 Def. My Fulcrum, Wyrd and a Gallows with boosted damage from my Warden put him in the dirt. The Sentries & some of the Wyrd's leftover shots did a number on the Wasps. My other Warden TK'd Proteus around and then Krueger just pulled things back to a nice position of safety with TK. Proteus advanced and the other Legion beasts shuffled up. I think I lost some Mannikins? Score went to 1-1. So naturally I took issue with the Legion models being in my zones. I killed Proteus with shooting & a Warden in melee, shot everything in the circle zone to death, feated with Krueger and scored 2 while contesting. Score went to 3-1. My opponent put as many models as far up as he could but with Krueger's feat it was too little too late. My Warden took some seriously spiky damage but remained standing. Score went to 4-2. In my turn I killed my opponent's objective after TKing a Carnivean out the way with Krueger, killed the Harrier (also with Krueger) and scored 3. Score went to 7-2. I think without Slipstream Abby never had too much hope here. Telekinesis was just crippling to her beasts. One game down and we're 1-0.

So I generally prefer living beasts to wolds, but that Krueger2 list looks real fun. I'm megalith and a mist speaker short, though. Can't bring myself to buy the old sculpt on the cheap, but can't afford the new sculpt. Gah!

Game 2 and I'm vs minions! I dropped Baldur because one list I felt lacked armour cracking and the other seemed to rely on the Dracodile (which doesn't like Rock Wall) and Croaks (which I can kill easily enough with Baldur). Also super didn't want to drop Baldur into the group's seeded player, who had Skarre1 with Stalkers & Lich3 with jacks. No thanks. So I dropped Baldur2! My opponent was a player from Norway and considered she and her fiancé had come to the country just to play in this event & visit a friend I may have focused more on chatting & having a fun game than taking photos, so short report here, some photos missing, apologies! I forgot to photograph deployment. I won the roll for first and fired up the table. I put out Roots on all of my battlegroup because Croaks are scary at shooting. My opponent shimmied up some Croaks and took some superficial shots. Escort and Grave Wind went up. Otherwise things jimmied for positioning and the Dracodile sat within 12" of my Wrath but outside 10". I forgot a photo here. In my turn I decided to get rid of those Croaks before they pressed further up the board and starting picking off my Stones and Shapers. To wit, my Woldwrath advanced and I think killed 2 with its gun. More importantly, it put its Animus up, clipping a bunch with it. My Wolds all rocked up (heh) and Crevassed down a whole bunch of Croaks. My Sentries gunned down more Croaks and contested the far zone. Baldur got a sneaky Crevasse out through his Grove and put down a Rock Wall denying the Dracodile a landing spot on the Wrath then feated. My opponent, feeling somewhat out of options sent in her Swamp Horrors and moved the Dracodile up, accepting it would need to eat an alpha from me anyway because of my Rock Wall. Due to the lack of Croaks and Jaga not wanting to die to a porting Guardian she was unable to score her own zone. My Guardian killed the left hand Horror and Megalith & my Wrath killed the Dracodile. At the end of this turn my opponent conceded. Bit of a tragic game, but on the plus side we had a cool chat and got to go and spectate her fiancé together (who is also somewhere on LMH I believe) play an absolutely nailbiting epic game vs Nemo3 with Thyron, which he barely pulled out of the hat at the end! Absolutely the best spectator game I watched all weekend. Also, my opponent won best painted at the event, so I have some bonus Dracodile pics that were provided for this report! Super big fan of the converted headdress and horns! Anyway, 2-0 and onto game 3. If I can win this I go into the undefeated group for day 2!

Final game of the day and I'm up against the group seed (aka an undefeated going into day 2 at the same event last year), he drops pSkarre into my Krueger2! I won the roll for first, opted to take it and we're off to the races! I threw my stuff as far up the board as possible. I wanted to immediately start to threaten scenario and take up all the space behind the central obstruction, swing right (as it was my zone) and push scenario. I put my frontmost Mannikins in big wide open spaces so if any Stalkers came out to kill them I could easily retaliate. Otherwise lots of TKs and running. My opponent ran up his army. He went really wide with the Wraith Engines. A scrap thrall got Rit Sacced. Well, I know a mistake when I see it and this one was quite costly. My Stones ported Megalith, who got within 7" of the Wraith Engine. He got TK'd around and put in Undergrowth. 3 Mannikins charged the Engine and put some good damage into it. It was also shot by a Wyrd for some okay damage and my Fulcrum I believe finished it off. Krueger cast Lightning Storm on a Mannikin, walked over, put Rebuke on a Bane Thrall and then shot it with his gun. My other Wardens cast Lightning Storm on Mannikins, and I think my Wyrd killed a Bane Knight. Generally I turtled up and sat on my flag. I ran the Stoneshaper onto my flag. My opponent feated with Skarre this turn, feating on the left hand Engine, both Stalkers, BLT and the Inflictor I believe. She used some of her focus to heal to 15. The Rebuked Bane Thralls sadly shambled. The Wraith Engine ran around to flank me hard, and a feated Stalker went in on Megalith, taking out Mind, Body & applying Grievous Wounds. Otherwise my opponent kind of just moved up behind my Lightning Storm and set up. Bane Lord Tartarus ran onto my opponent's flag. With the Stalker contesting my flag the score went to 1-0 Cryx. Krueger kept Rebuke. My MAnnikins and Wyrds did as much work as they could this turn to the infantry. Megalith advanced, cast Undergrowth and managed to land one hit on the Stalker, applying Weight of Stone and dealing some good damage. Then he used TK to place himself out of its melee range and into safety to heal up. My Shaper advanced to Megalith and used some spraying while my Wayfarer walked right and used Phase Jump to get on my flag. My guns all killed some infantry except the Wyrd, who blew up the now -5 Def Stalker. My frontmost Warden hit a TK on the Inflictor, turning it around. My other Warden missed a boosted TK on the Wraith Engine, which was pretty bad. Krueger pulled his models to safety with TK, sadly he couldn't save the Wyrd on the left from the Engine. He did feat though. I had a Stone move to contest my opponent's flag. Unable to push Tartarus out of the zone due to the wall, I scored 2, bringing it to 2-1 Circle. My opponent killed the contesting Stone, my Woldwyrd and cleared the left zone & his flag. The Bane Thralls on the right continued to be sad, Darragh advanced for a Hellfire on my Wayfarer which thankfully missed. My opponent scored 2 here and I scored 1, bringing it to 3-3. Megalith began to heal up, and I kept Rebuke. My Shaper went back to my flag. My guns continued to put away as much infantry as possible, I also got a TK on Darragh and shot / spelled him off the table, clearing the right zone. I put 2 Stones in front of Krueger, who had killed some infantry and cast some TKs and had a Mannikin contest my opponent's flag and put a Warden in the zone. My other Warden killed the Wraith Engine. I scored 2 here, taking it to 5-3. Here my opponent killed my Sentry Stone, which removed the contesting Mannikin however he didn't have the damage to kill my Warden (although left it on not much health with Grievous Wounds). The Bane Thrall UA used its minifeat to contest and brought back some Thralls. My opponent still couldn't contest my flag but did score 1 of his own, taking it to 6-4. In my turn I ported a Stone to contest my opponent's flag. Megalith put a Gallows into the enemy objective for good damage and cast Undergrowth. I had my right hand Mannikins blow up the Banes in the zone with some help from Undergrowth. My Fulcrum put the enemy objective down with an 18 for damage from the Lightning Gun. The score went to 9-4. Victory to the Circle!

Its been pointed out to me since that mannikin claws are not magical. Which i feel really bad about. ):
Don’t want to speculate too much on if it would have changed the game, but I will ofc apologise to my opponent.

Great set of games. I never thought of using Megalith the way you use him. Keep it up.

When I have played him I almost never use his animus. Shows how wrong I am in not doing it. I have always used him as a heavy hitter. Now I am going to compare him to Thorn with Haley 2. Pull out other models to murder with my pew pew:-D
