Hello
I am trying to get alot more games in this year but i have been finding piggybacks to be the one unit that seems to fail me the most.
I would like to know what caster people are using them with or how to use them.

Only theoretical knowledge but I plan for double piggybacks with OW3 and a death knell. ARM19 with impervious flesh works against most things. And she can revive 2-3 of them and then twilight sisters can heal those back up.

Indeed, Piggybacks work the best with OW. I would, in fact, count the OW/double Pigs/double MadCaps list as among the strongest recursion lists currently in the game.
Other strong contenders would be Heretic, and possibly Wanderer

I've found the same thing in my games, that they suck. But, I have yet to try them with OW, and my meta has lots of RFP around, which goes a long way to explain my lack of success with them.

Piggybacks are bad, and in nearly every scenario dread Rots are a better choice.

Yeah I have been thinking that Rots are so much better then the Piggy but wanted to see how others found them.
There is a lot of RFP around here atm, one skorne tier with RFP on all warrior melee left the sisters and OW3 with no one to bring back all game.

Beaker, that has been my experience as well, except you can also add Trollbloods BoH to the mix. I'm sure it's pretty strong list if you can play it into no RFP, I just really won't have the luxury of testing it myself.

What's all this talk of the Piggys sucking? I keep hearing that models with ARM 18+, boxes, and Impervious Flesh are impossible to kill!

Seriously? Piggybacks suck?
My meta are almost to a man frantically trying to build lists to counter my Piggybacks. They just soak up so much more than their points in every game.
I typically play them with the following:
Heretic uses double piggies, twilight sisters, death knell to keep the nightmare train rolling. Play cautiously until they can eat something big. Dreamer uses a single unit plus twilight sisters and knell to bog down a weak flank while overloading the strong flank. Use Mirage to get into place early, then switch Mirage over to the dread rots. Wanderer just uses a single unit plus the knell, although honestly this one could probably be better as something else. Needs a bit of work.
Really folks, people should fear the piggies. Are you facing just too much RFP for them?

If you are playing the Dreamer in Bump you could place Enfeeble on a unit or model likely to attack the Piggy Backs, making them effectively def 13 arm 21

Still a really neat idea to keep in your back pocket though. -und_ed

I feel like piggybacks are a good base statline, ruleset etc, and one arm buff away from being the most broken model in the game. Imagine if you could combo Defenders Ward or Death ward on them!
It seems like base hyperbole to say "Dread rots do it better" though. They are there to take a charge / be hard to kill in a zone. Dread rots can definitely not do that. Piggybacks hit harder on the charge (+5 pow vs weaponmaster - take the pow every time), about the same without charge. Piggybacks have extra melee range. But you get twice as many dread rots for the cost, so they make better corpses and collect corpses, and they move faster.
Not sure what else to say, if you're just looking to move fast and die / get corpses get dread rots, but I don't see how they are 'better' than piggybacks.
