Good day, I hope it finds you well.
My name is Remy and I'm new to playing Warmachine. I've gotten a couple games in but they were either with another newb where we barely knew how to play, nonetheless understood the intricacies, or I got roflstomped at game stores.
I'm situated in Sherwood, OR and live down the street from our local gamestore, Glimpse. I have a fairly free schedule and would love to meet up with someone knowledgable with the rules so I can get some practice in. I know Glimpse has a mini-night every Tuesday and it's packed. Everyone seemed pretty nice but when I bought a battlebox I basically got booed for not buying Guild Ball or Infinity, which is what most play that night.
You can hit me up here or on Facebook, I go by Jeremy "Remy" Brookshire on facebook, look me up. Thanks for reading this, I appreciate it.
Best regards, Remy

Glimpses has a strong Guild Ball scene, but not many Warma/Hordes players. Rune & Board in downtown Hillsboro has Warmachine on Wednesday nights (starting around 6), Rainy Day Games in Hillsboro/Aloha has some people playing on Thursday nights, I think. Guardian Games in Portland has the largest group of players, meeting on Monday nights. I’d be happy to try get a game in with you, Remy.
Welcome to the boards.

Might be a bit far, but Portland Game Store in North Portland also has a decent crowd on thursdays and tournaments on weekends once every other month or so.

I'll try not to burgle too many turds. Can I still take you up on this? I need a lot of help, so I'm really looking for someone willing to play small point games to help me get a more solid grasp on the game as a whole as well as devoting some time learning all the parts of my lists one at a time.

Absolutely. I’ve been traveling a bit this summer, but I’m hoping to start getting some games in at R&B on Wednesay nights soon.
