I have a tournament approaching in a few weeks, and I was wondering how the community currently feels about Ravyn.
I think her kit can be great for pulling off a nice assassination. Especially with the terrain heavy SR format. The synergy would be as follows: Upkeep snipe on a unit or a myrmidon with a decent gun, then cast veil of mist between enemy warnoun and threat. Then feat before shooting Hellebore. Activate ranged units to burn warnoun fury/focus or pick off surrounding models. Then clean up with myrmidon charges.
I see this working well with a shadows theme, or maybe a dawn theme. Thoughts?

I pulled off a Ravyn Veil of Mists assassination one time by doing the following:
-After the lines clashed I put VoM on the caster's screening line.
-Cast Locomotion on Imperatus to get him into position.
-Walked Impy right through the line, eating a few free strikes.
-Murdered caster.

Those are the same thoughts I had. Also with Nyss Hunters being friendly faction and able to be in Forges theme and able to receive snipe. That expands the VoM threat to enemy, especially if hiding behind terrain. Hunters would be range 16 with CRA and pathfinder with weaponmaster is just icing on the cake.

Not to Ravyn ...unless you have specific plans for snipe

If you are looking to play a gunline caster, I think Issyria is just better than Ravyn. She has a non-feat dependent accuracy buff in Blinding Light and Mark Target from her character jack, her feat also grants True Sight, and a buff to accuracy and damage, Whereas Ravyn just buffs accuracy and give swift hunter

If you have double battle engines there could be something there. Those things are disgusting with snipe.
I would also recommend having 1 heavy that is a good locomotion target. It's actually the single furthest threat extender we have for melee, so keep that in mind. With that an hunters mark a banshee threatens 15".

Gonna have to try and squeeze Lanyssa in...

Crickets or Hydras with Snipe sounds fun and could work in either Defenders or Forges.

Good thought on the hunters mark with a banshee. Gonna have to try and squeeze Lanyssa in... Personally, I think Locomotion is a bit wasted on Ravyn if you want to extend threat on melee, and she generally doesn't support a battlegroup that well so a minimal battlegroup suits her best (given the lack of changes to her, cf. MkII Banshee/Hyperion battlegroup pretty much exclusively). Lanyssa and Ravyn also do comparatively little for each other as well. You're better off using Locomotion to extend ranged threat and to get around potential LoS issues. I'm partial to double AFG/colossal for massive damage output or a fair bit of zone control against bricks.

I've played a couple games with Ravyn and I found a list that my local meta won't play against anymore.
Ravyn Forges Theme: -Hyperion -Helios x2 Fill with 4 free solos
It is 1 point under and if you dropped a Helios you could fill the 35 points left over with more ranged jacks, manticores spring to mind. But with the double helios on feat turn you have 6 3" push shots with snipe and boosted attack rolls to pull something 18" in total. Haven't had a chance to drop it in a tourney but my local group hates it.
