Whats funny is that about a year ago I played nearly exactly that Krueger1 list into Cryx and lost HARD. Enough that it was my last Circle game for a long time. Ravagers and whitemanes didn't get heart tokens off of undead models back then It was Gaspy3 with a healthy BG and satyxis.

Man that must've been rough then. Brutal charge on ravagers and Kreuger1 clearing infantry en masse should've been a cake walk.

Just popped in to say I'm glad to see you back messing with Circle, Paradox. I followed your forays on the old PP forums - looking forward to seeing what your wacky mind comes up with.

The apparent current wack is wolf rider champs. Maybe after this experiment you can try an all Lady Tharn List Imagine dropping that down at a major event! Drown the opponent in estrogen!

I think lady Tharn lists are decently solid. They might need a bit of tweaking around the edges, but not nearly as bad as male Tharn.

They might need a bit of tweaking around the edges, but not nearly as bad as male Tharn. I think the issue is how easily they die to everything. Ravagers die easy too but have just enough extra durability to justify bringing them as your frontline unit. There is a reason almost all devo host lists at major events have 1 or 2 ravager boats. I actually think bloodtrackers are great, I wish nualla was retooled a bit, but the unit itself can get work done with prey and a damage buff. Blood weavers are way too underappreciated for what they can do and I think wolf riders are just a couple tweaks away from being acceptable. I think a caster like Baldur 1 who gives a bubble of blast immunity and no knockdown, or wurmwood who can also protect them by blocking Los, can really make them shine.

But having Stealth, DEF14, and Pathfinder make them alot more survivable than make counterparts. Opposing sprays tend to be RAT5, requiring boosts, and SP8 or less most often. AoEs are unreliable. Direct shots will struggle to hit that DEF. Cygnar is probably the worst, able to ignore Stealth and Concealment, and with bounces.

You would be surprised what trolls can do in Kriel Company. I have actually had a lot of issues with my Lady Tharn running into Trolls, Khador, Cygnar, And ret. either high accuracy, high volume, or large AOE, drifts tend to ruin my day even spreading out. AOE’s May be unreliable, but I have terrible luck with my opponents deviating into the perfect place The other issue is threat range, capping at 14” on the Trackers and 10 1/2 on the weavers, a lot standard line infantry will out threaten you with a minifeat or Speed Buff. Satyxis, Fenblades, Ret Halberds, Iron fangs under the right caster. Heck, even Protectorate with vibdictitus or Harbinger will give you a hard time.Errabts with Assault under them threaten 20”!! Knights E threaten 11. I think all we really need is some better infantry support from other casters. Right now Baldur 1 offers the most versatile toolkit of infantry support for us and that just doesn’t feel right

In light of the CID changes to warmongers, and stats on Chosen, I have hopes for the Tharn CID cycle. Things look like they are moving where they need to in getting medium multi-wound units and cav more love.

Also, based on Garg changes the thunderchicken may be in our CiD as well? 0.o I have high hopes going forward.

I'm hesitant to speculate too hard on what beasts may hit the Tharn CID, but getting some SR love and fixes would be MIGHTY nice. I might actually buy one!

Ditto here and they seem to also be moving in the right direction on under performing gargantuans and over costed premium beasts. Fingers crossed.
