Of course Khador was not going to walk away with a pile of weird science from the invasion, what did you really expect?

First off, the invasion was intended to be a land grab for national pride. Think of it like the Mexican - American War with Russian patriotic music. If there was a significant intention of getting Golden Crucible goodies then our boy Strakhov would have been dispatched with his crew instead of posing as some officer to get the Laellese army to circle jerk themselves while mortar shells were raining down around them.

Second, if Khador were to smash & grab the mother-load of science goodies and quickly integrate it then Privateer Press would pretty much need to sweep away "Old Khador" and introduce Khador 2.0 to a bunch of whiny gamers who would complain that Cygnar and the Convergence are supposed to be the high-tech factions. Rightfully so, I might add. Just like Khador has a smattering of Orgoth fun here and there, you will probably see some Golden Crucible goodies sprinkled in after the CG are settled into the game.

Third, the Golden Crucible guys probably weren't going to be stupid when the Winter Guard are coming. What does any good institution do when the Winter Guard / FBI / IRS / police / drug lord hit squad is due anytime soon? You grab what you can, shred / barrel burn everything else, tell the side piece that things are over, and un-ass yourself from the area of operation. Khador wasn't going to plunder vast stores of knowledge, they were going to sift through the ashes and find the forgotten stuff.

I don't think that Khador is going to be robbed. Realistically they walk away rather nicely: Khador gets "room to grow," Vlad snags the Umbrey next door to double the size of his own Umbrey (and gets to shag a hot young thing with the title of "Empress"), and everyone else gets madder than drunken soccer fans at Khador's victory. Ba-da-boom, ba-da-bing.

If you want to play the Crucible Guard when they come out, I think all of us kommanders will understand. But don't get bummed about loosing Khador 2.0, it wouldn't have happened anyway. We might see some new toys in a year or two, but Khador has to stay Khador or then Privateer Press is going to have a real mess on their hands.
