Agree about the horse. There was a little bit of contrast there (probably not enough) but the sealer killed it.

The assassins were one of my first Khador purchases after the initial 50pt army box, and have been sitting around primed (+ gray cloaks) for several years. I'm not super happy with the paint job they got and I think the biggest problem was trying to use a wash on the red clothing. I have several of the Secret Weapon washes and despite wanting to like them (Mr. Justin is a super cool guy) they just don't seem to work like I want them to. I got a new photo backdrop, which was used in all these images. The color is correct on the first one, and not correct on the rest. I love the Underboss mini. So tough. So balding. I used a variety of skin and hair colors on the assassins. Unit leaders get fancy cloaks apparently.

They look good, although the red bases are a little overpowering.

I'm of the opposite opinion. Bright bases are good.
Models look good too.

I decided to get a real camera, and wow what a difference it makes. Today I have a trio of Malakovs for you all. I left gloss sealer on most of the model and used excessive amounts of gold to reflect his magnificent bearing. "For you, the day Malakov graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday." But wait! What's this? An enemy approaches! Look out Kommander! Quick soldier, take those arrows for your superior! Ivan here has magnets in his feet so he'll stay on the base as long as necessary to protect Malakov. And let's not forget Malakov 1 and... Malakov 1 I got the torso of the limited edition model in a lot I bought on Facebook, but he was missing his gun arm which I replaced with the standard edition's arm. I like the limited edition pose better, but standard edition's face is definitely more characterful.
All three together.

What did you use for the blood? It is lovely! Tamiya Clear Red is amazing for fresh blood. I also used Badger Ghost Tints Fresh Blood which is a little thinner, darker and less shiny.

That’s terrible! And awesome! Arrows right in that “sucker”! Also, very clean, crisp paint work! Creativity + skill = win.

Today I have Thor Steinhammer for you, along with the Ghordson Avalancher for him to marshal that I painted a while back.

Very nice work on Thor. His face looks great! Not quite sure about the flames; the bright yellow on both sides but then the darker bits in the middle look strange. I mean, I think I see what you're going for, but it still looks strange.
Very interesting colour scheme on the Rockram; it really looks like a piece of industrial machinery rather than a weapon of war!

I like the colour scheme on the Rockram as well. The detail on Thor is spot on, I like the work you did on his flamethrower's pressure gauge especially.

Great to see some Rhulfolk! Thor looks awesome. I think his flames look quite good, myself. Although I used a different bit when I painted mine, I also tried a similar effect (with the central gout of flame glowing hotter near the front). The Avalancher does look a little flat, TBH but that may be what you're going for.
