Hi guys Does Orions Spellpiercer work against spells such as Rock Wall and Artifice of Deviation? Seems to me like a grey area, since the DEF bonus the spells provide is not directly applied. Anyone know?

No doesn't work. Only spells that actually say "+X DEF / +X ARM" are ignored. Aritifice of Deviation provides Cover.
It's the same as with blessed weapons.

So it is in the wording itself of any spells that define it?
Can't find an answer in the rulebook. Did you?

Rock wall the spell is not providing any defense bonus at all. It is creating a linear obstacle. That linear obstacle is providing cover. Cover is providing a +4 defense bonus.
Blessed ignores defense bonuses that come from spells. In this case the defense bonus is coming from cover, not the spell. Blessed is very specific with what it ignores. It would not ignore the defense bonus I'm this case.
Similarly it would not ignore concealment even if a spell gave concealment like fog of war. It only ignores instances where the spell itself is directly the source of the defense bonus.
